Here is the timeline from Google Wallet:

Sep 28 You placed an order with SpeedNet Motor on Sep 28
Sep 28 SpeedNet Motor received your order.
Sep 28 SpeedNet Motor charged your VISA
After I called, left a message and sent an IM.
Oct 5 SpeedNet Motor shipped your order.

1 week to package and ship, not the end of the world.

I live in Canada, so I had the package delivered to a US address near the border. I finally went to pickup this week. Packaging was ok, cardboard boxes with styrofoam peanuts....

Once I opened the boxes I saw that they shipped the wrong rotors , I ordered slotted only, they sent slotted and drilled...

I just Im'ed to see what they will do.

BTW The website no longer exists...

Well at least I was not the only one... I completely forgot about this.

So let me start...

PMed Speednet motors a few times back and forth and usually quick to reply. I said we wanted the slotted rotors; confirmed with them 3 times we wanted slotted - 2 via PM and 1 more time via the Google checkout.

8/14 - My dad placed the order for himself
8/15 - Received PM from Shawn stating "Yes, will be slotted per his request. I will send tracking tomorrow and you will received within 2 business days.

Thanks. Shawn

8/22-23 Send another PM to Shawn; he ask for our info to check on it. Never heard back.

8/28 Send another PM; Shawn said they finally shipped. He sent my dad the tracking packing and they had just shipped that day...

8/30 Dad gets message at work saying he has some packages in. He's excited, knew they were the brakes. Opens them up, see's they're the slotted/drilled. He's disappointed, but whatever, **** happens and he's going to think this out.

8/31 We called Speednet - no answer. Tried the cell phone that Shawn originally gave out - no answer. But received a text immediately after. I told him about the mistake, he apologized and gave us 2 options: 1) exchange the rotors or 2) offer 3 bottles of racing fluid.

We wanted the exchange and we wanted them to ship us the rotors first w/ a return slip and we'd ship the wrong rotors right back. Shawn said no problem, he'd take care of this on Tuesday 9/4 since Monday 9/3 was a holiday. OK great no problem.

9/4 Sent Shawn a text later in the evening to see if they shipped. Now he was quick to answer texts, did not receive a reply until 9/6.

9/6 Receive text saying they're on a cruise in Miami and the Bahamas... Now that is great, I hope they are having a great vacation!! We all need vacations.. but one problem - when we talked the week before and you said you'd ship us our parts on Tuesday but failed to mention you were going to be out all week - then that is a problem. If Speednet would have just told us that from the beginning, OK, fine, no problem. Have a great vacation, I will be sure to follow up with you the following Monday.

9/10-11 Next business week - contact them, no response until late in the day on 9/11. Speednet said they'd email us a shipping label to return the rotors and they'd ship them out once they receive ours. Not what we wanted to do, but at this point, we shipped them back.

From Shawn (text) on 9/11 "I will email 2 shipping label to ship those back and please do so asap so we can track its coming back to us. I will ship out a replacement out asap once you send those out in exchange. You will receive your correct order by fri (9/14)/sat (9/15)" A few more texts were exchanged back and forth after that.

We did not receive the return labels until late Thursday night, 9/13. We shipped out the rotors on 9/15 (we did not receive the return label until after 6pm so USPS was already closed)

9/25 Still no freaking rotors. 2 weeks later. No, more like a month and 10 days later and we still do not have the right parts.

I called the cell number, no answer (go figures). Call back again and no answer. I received a text right after my call saying "can I help you? I am driving." So you're driving - can't answer a phone call but can answer a text. Doesn't make any sense to me... Next text "can't talk now. call me later?" Nooooooope. You're talking now.

At this point, I am impatient and do not want to hear whatever BS they have to throw at me. Speednet said they shipped them already (well thanks for the tracking info... aka never received anything). Finally got the info and they came in on 9/26...

So it took 43 days, a number of PM's, phone calls, and about 60 text to get the right freaking rotors.

I would not do business with them again. They might have the best prices around, but screw that. I rather pay a little extra and get the right stuff the first time and not deal with this type of BS.

Hopefully the rotors, pads, and lines aren't crap....
