If you took time out of your day to read this thread, you can take time out of your day to watch this movie. Well atleast watch the first part. God is only real to people who think hes real(definition think-to have or form in the mind as an idea, conception, etc.)

Hey realgone. . .did you EVER pay for your carbon footprint offset?

Second: find me a scientific explanation for the electrical discharge that occurs when a sperm and egg unite that causes the egg to instantly "shell" and prevent other sperm from penetrating, starts the process of chromosome sharing, and starts the early process of cell division. I still have yet to read one.

I have too much pride in me to even attempt to think that I came from some kinda of crawler.

Fvck that.

You can believe that if you want but not me.

I worked with a guy long time ago and his weight was 472 pounds.

There is no way that fvcker came from monkey.

It had to be an elephant or dinosaur.

Or that was one big fvcking monkey.

King Kong? Perhaps?

And if you look close enough evolution theory and Bible are very very same. The only diff between them is that Bible says that God created man and evolution theory that we came from monkeys.

Once again.........I don't know about you but I am not from monkey.

^we didn't "come from monkeys" dude, we just evolved as a species to better adapt to our environment along the same path as they did - we just got luckier.

And if you dent the relation between humans and monkeys you're very naive. Despite a nearly identical skeletal structure, don't we share like 98% of our DNA with them?

The major point here is that these new "discoveries" back up the theory of Evolution, help sustain it. Your comments back up nothing and make no sense. We did not come from an incestuous relationship between Adam and Eve, we Evolved, much like these new discoveries will continue to evolve for so long as they can survive the elements, a survival of the fittest if you will. It does not matter how long they have been around, what matters if that they help prove or back up The Theory of Evolution, mark another win for science and yet another loss for Creationist.

Recently, organic chemicals were discovered on a distant planet, yet again another example of life that does not involve the magical manifestation of man. These may be the beginning of some kind of life for that planet or others like it, but I doubt our species will survive long enough on this planet to witness it, and not because of some rapture or end of the world biblical scenario, but because humans will cause their own extinction for not taking care of the one planet we got.

Oh please. I was asking for a scientific explanation for something that ideally should have a scientific explanation.

And of course, I still didn't get one.

How does that make no sense? I was merely making the distinction between newly existing and newly discovered. If you think that makes no sense, that's your opinion - and opinions are like a$$holes. Everyone has one.

Open your eyes and know truth and science my little sheep. This discovery yet again proves the theory of Evolution and it does not matter if it was discovered today, a million years from now, or a million years ago, or how long it has been around. What matters is that it backs up the Theory of Evolution and is yet another example of how the bible was false.

As far as it being newly discovered as you call it, that does not matter either, this is a new life form that will take millions or billions of years to evolve into what the imagination can only wonder, just like humans have. Science has been lucky enough to discover this new life in an early stage and that discovery will further the advancement of science and once again proves that the bible was wrong when someone with little or no scientific knowledge wrote that we magically manifested by an invisible God who created Adam and Eve.

Science my friend, embrace it, because it is absolutely fascinating and a wonderful advancement for our society. There are many in my family that too refuse to believe in Evolution or even learn about it and I was once the same. The difference is, I was willing to educate myself or lets say, not afraid to watch a program on PBS or something when I come across it that challenges my beliefs, but once I did, there was no going back and I soon discovered that I was wrong. I was willing to turn my back on everything I was and had ever known because of knowledge, and I am glad I did, because doing so has opened my mind so much and I am constantly watching educational programs, or reading scientific books, or history, you get the idea, it is wonderful.

Others think that it was "seeded" by passing comets and/or planets or by asteroids impacting the earth. If this is true, where did THAT life come from?
Viruses and bacteria adapt and evolve constantly to build tolerances to antibiotics and survive in changing atmospheres. Sometimes very rapidly too.

I can't believe this religious **** is standing in a court room arguing about "direct intervention from god". Stupid flawed evangelical arguments....
