measurments might be different with oems 19's, 255 tire and 25mm spacer.

OEM 19" rear = 8.5"

recommended tire width for a RE050 in 285-35-19 is 9.5" - 11.0".

You're running a tire on a wheel that's 1" too narrow. Not good

sorry if this sounds dumb but with stock suspension and OEM 19" wheels, will I need spacers with the 245/35 fronts and 255/40 rears? If yes, are you saying that I'll need spacers for both front and rears? and what size spacers?

spacers are to push your wheels out and are not required. if you decide to lower your car then spacers will be a good ideal, unless you go aftermarket rims

im running 15/20 mm spacers, im thinking about going 20/25. just not sure if ill need to roll my fenders.

as for gas mileage, its really hard to say cause it depends on your foot. overall right now i get about 20 mpg daily driving. On long drives, say to Las Vegas i get about 26 or so.
I guess what I should have asked is if you noticed a big difference in gas mileage from the oems. Not really concerned with gaining gas mileage. Just want to make sure that I dont lose 3 or 4 mpg, like I have read on some web reviews of other tires.

Thanks.

Diff tires in the same/very similar sizes won't make a signficant impact on mpg.

But I notice about a 1 mpg diff from replacing my heavy RE050s with the lighter Michelin Pilot Sports. Acceleration was very slightly improved (partially from weight 2-3lbs lighter and from the slightly smaller OD of the 255-35-19 vs oem 245-40-19) )

There are much more pressing concerns about tire choice than mpg. ie. wet/dry grip, noise, braking, feel tire life etc... Those characteristics vary way more across tires than mpg will

I was wondering something similar to this post. I have the 225/245 40 19 set-up now which is OEM. I want to get the 245/35 & 255/40 set up but it's time to change out my rears even though my fronts are still look okay. Would it be okay to keep running on the 225/40 fronts but put 255/40's on the rear? How will that affect the car & driving?

im not a tire expert but if i was in the same situation as you i would get the 255 for the rear and leave the front oem size, until they wear out.

so i finally got my tires replaced last saturday. i went with Falken 452s and upgraded the size up 245/35/19 (Front) and 255/40/19 (Rear) and couldn't be happier. Got them mounted, balanced and installed for 760 with tax at a shop in San Gabrial, CA.

Got a noob question for you guys.... since i have upgraded my front and rear tires to a larger size than the OEM spec, will i need an alignment done for the car? Since the tires are now larger, will that affect the camber or toe?

I'm pretty sure it doesn't, but i just wanted to ask anyways just to be safe..

now you have my setup, no need for camber or alignment nor would you need to with spacers.

good price for the tires and installation.

to really be safe, find a coupon for a free alignment check. then post up results

So, I am looking to get Falken FK452 255/40R19s for the rear of my car.. my G35 coupe isn't lowered.. just stock height. Will I have rubbing issues?

I have Nitto Invo's on right now, but they are bald.. the fronts are at about 65%, I'll change those to Falken FK452 245/35R19s when they need replacing.

Sounds like the best size combo is 235/35R19 front and 255/40R19 rear? any advantage/disadvantage from running this size compared to the stock 225/40, 245/40 size?
