Tires for OEM 19s : The end-all thread
Previously in this thread there was some talk about 19" coupe wheels on a sedan. I'm not sure if I am understandibg the answer correctly. Will these wheels cause VDC problems on my 06 sedan? I really love these wheels and would like to you run them?
I have a 2006 G35x and I run the 19" coupe wheels with no problems. I put 245/40R19 Yokohama s.drives on all 4 wheels. I have had no problems with the AWD or the VDC. Could be that I am running the same size tires all around.
Has anyone run 255/40 all around on a sedan? From my research on tire calculators, it looks like they'll fit fine on both 9" and 9.5" wheels, and they are only slightly larger (27" vs. 26.3", or less than 3%) than my stock 17 size. Would I notice a difference in the sidewall angle from front to back?
Yeah, but I can't get four of those in Falken 452's, practically new, for $400! LOL.
I ran the 245-40-19 RE050 before getting the michelins. I don't know if it was the weight diff or the size diff but I could actually notice a diff in accerlation. Granted, I saved 3-4 lbs off each rear tire and the dia diff of a 255-55-19 is 2.6%.
I went to install a set of 275/35 BRIDGESTONE POTENZA Run-flats today on the rear and the tire shop couldnt get it to hold air. Is this because they aren't track tires and can't take the bulge? I have found someone that I can trade for a set of Toyo T1-R's. Would they work better? Thanks for any help offered.

I had a full set of 245/35s lined up and then the bastid welched...
Do you have any rubbing issues? Thinking about going wit the same set up but i'm also lowered on Z H-techs.
as of now Im running Z-RSR down springs and rolled my fenders.
ok so i have a coupe & installing oem 19's. Been riding on 17's with Tanabe 350Z GF210's (about 2" drop all around). Hope to add spacers in the future, BUT what tires sizes should i go for right now, with the drop i have?
