Previously in this thread there was some talk about 19" coupe wheels on a sedan. I'm not sure if I am understandibg the answer correctly. Will these wheels cause VDC problems on my 06 sedan? I really love these wheels and would like to you run them?

I have a 2006 G35x and I run the 19" coupe wheels with no problems. I put 245/40R19 Yokohama s.drives on all 4 wheels. I have had no problems with the AWD or the VDC. Could be that I am running the same size tires all around.

Same size tires would be fine with me, but what if the set of rims I buy have the 225 front/245 rear combo? Can i use those or do I have to change the tires out immediately?

Has anyone run 255/40 all around on a sedan? From my research on tire calculators, it looks like they'll fit fine on both 9" and 9.5" wheels, and they are only slightly larger (27" vs. 26.3", or less than 3%) than my stock 17 size. Would I notice a difference in the sidewall angle from front to back?

I think if you run a 255-40 on a coupe 19, you run the risk of rubbing. It's one reason I went with a 255-35. I think a 245-40 all around might be a better choice.

Yeah, but I can't get four of those in Falken 452's, practically new, for $400! LOL.

I ran the 245-40-19 RE050 before getting the michelins. I don't know if it was the weight diff or the size diff but I could actually notice a diff in accerlation. Granted, I saved 3-4 lbs off each rear tire and the dia diff of a 255-55-19 is 2.6%.

I went to install a set of 275/35 BRIDGESTONE POTENZA Run-flats today on the rear and the tire shop couldnt get it to hold air. Is this because they aren't track tires and can't take the bulge? I have found someone that I can trade for a set of Toyo T1-R's. Would they work better? Thanks for any help offered.

how come everyone is doing 245/35/19 front and 255/40/19 rear instead of 245/40/19 front and 25//40/19 rear? wouldn't we want to keep it at 40 for better treadwear?

H techs sit pretty high in the back so you wont have any rubbing issues, but if you to lower the back or have rear passengers you migh get slight rubbing, unless you rolled your fenders then there wouldnt be any issues.

as of now Im running Z-RSR down springs and rolled my fenders.
