Yes or No...?

Well, when i bought my rims they had pretty bad curb rash on the out edge so i took them to a rim shop and they said they could repair them, but couldn't match the paint. So i just told them to forget it and that i would do it myself. Well i fixed the rash on one rim its smooth, but the problem actually was finding a bronze paint that matched...what a pain in the butt that was. The paint is still a little off, but isn’t noticeable unless you are looking for it.

Since I’m going to have to repair the other 3 i was kind of thinking of changing the look. I am thinking of putting a stripe around the out edge kind of like the Volk "time attack" series of rims, but I’m not sure how it looks with red. I did a quick Microsoft paint chop ...what do you guys think.

Is it a go or a no? If no should i leave it bronze or do another color?

-Sean

I had red stripes on the wheels of my black 1984 Supra and it looked good.
It was more of a pin stripe though.

No. Before you paint your own or go with another color rim call Glenn's. Best rim repair and refinishing in the area. They have fixed 2 of my rims already. http://www.glennswheelpolishing.com/ This place does amazing work. Even people with extremely high end cars trust them with their wheels. Hulk Hogan and a few others use him. I'm sure he could match the lip.... it may be a drive for you, but it will be worth it when you see the quality work they do. And to keep your Volks like new.

weren't you trying to trade you wheels for time attacks anyways? I would suggest you just sell or trade your current wheels for time attacks if that's what you want. Time attacks are my fav. as well but your current wheels are pretty sick as well.

You need stoptechs to pull the red around the rims off...But as of right now No...Nothing on your car ties into the red around the rim...

I don't like the red. Stick with just Bronze or do a black line.
