Urgent help with tire sizes please

I am ordering the Works VS-XX gold 19's for my ride tomorrow morning and no one has posted back regarding proper tire sizes here:

https://g35driver.com/forums/wheels-tires/155953-my-final-works-vs-xx-sedan-thread-offset-help-needed-please.html

19x8.0+38 Adisc tire 245/40-19
19x9.5+42 Odisc tire 245/40-19 (may be better to have 255/35-19; Both stays inside of fender)

A disc is 2" lip and o disc is around 3 inches.

What tires sit flush with the fender and do not rub. I am not lowered and suspension is stock.

Thanks for the help. Looking to be the first sedan with gold works

Most people go 245/35/19 for the fronts and 275/30/19 for the rear.

clint,

i remember you saying that you werent going to lower your car at all. If that is the case then I'd recommend getting some tires with more meat than you normally would. I'd go with the 245/40 up front and a 265/35 or 275/35 in the rear. Those sizes will help with the wheel/fender gap that you are going to have.

thanks

yes i doubt i will lower it. im sure i will have gap with 19"s but i can't afford to go low because of my garage at work and general road conditions.

i don't know why Works Japan recommended 245/40 in the rear. Does the width difference of 30 (275-245) make a differencE?

They recommended that because its the "in" thing to run stretched tires. The difference between a 245 and 275 is that the 275 is 30mm wider of a tire (which you want because your rear wheel is wider than your front)

I'm not lowered at all and no rubbing issues. the fronts are +38 and rears are +45 in offsets.

those sizes are too big, you'll like you're rolling on 17's. Stick with the 245/40/19F 275/35/19R

so the big q - how much performance loss should I expect?

>G35 - you mentioned as soon as you drove out you noticed sluggish pickup and braking... do yo still notice it and does it really affect a lot?

Yes I would run a 245/40 and 275/35 if you are not going to lower it.

The extra 30mm in the back is huge and 245's on that width would look like crap.

I went to the tire size site to compare tires:
http://www.wheelsmaster.com/rt_specs.jsp

Here is the comparision:

275/35/19
Suspension: Package is 27 mm (1.1'') closer to suspension/brakes components. Make sure that you have enough room for that. If not, consider lower offset, narrower tires or using spacers

Fenders: Package will stick out 33 mm (1.3'') farther. Make sure that you have enough room under the fender. If not, consider narrower tires or higher offset.

Wheelwells: Will fill out the wheelwell by extra 4 mm. Almost no difference

245/40/19

Susp: Package is 8 mm (0.3'') closer to suspension/brakes components. Acceptable for most cars.

Fenders: Package will stick out 22 mm (0.9'') farther. Make sure that you have enough room under the fender. If not, consider narrower tires or higher offset.

Wheelwells: Will fill out the wheelwell by extra 6 mm. Acceptable for most cars.
