Did you ask around to see what offsets most members here are running on the sedan?

I know that for the coupe, a 4mm difference is very small and almost negligible... comes down to tire size.

For that offset, did they tell you what tire size you have to run?

Sometimes tire size AND brand make a big difference... i.e. BFG have a much fatter sidewall and tend to rub more than other brands like Bridgestone and Yokahama.

What I'm saying is that 4mm is really not going to make that big of a difference... it is only 2mm towards the fender and 2mm towards the inside. 2mm is nothing and will not cause very bad rubbing as you describe!

I'm thinking either these are NOT 38mm offset as they say or the 42mm offset you had asked for would not have worked anyway with the tires you're running.

Is the offset stamped on the wheel or the box? You should check that first or measure it yourself to make sure it is in fact a 38mm offset wheel.

Good luck.

^+38 to +42 is going to push the wheel in 4mm, not 2mm. Your mixing offset with increasing width and keeping the same offset...

right, my mistake.

Still, 4mm is not going to be the difference between fitting or BADLY rubbing with the fender riding on the tire like the OP described.

believe me it does. i have had 45, 40, and now 38 rear offsets on 20inch wheels and the 40 was pushing it to the max.

tire sizes (275/30 or 35) really doesnt have much to do with it rubbing because that refers to height not width. no matter what the friggin wheel still sticks out! whether its a 30 or 35 series the height of the car is what matters which in my case isnt a problem since i have coilovers. i raised the hell out of my rear end for the 35 series tires and its just not happening unless i give it more gap than stock

If you paid by credit card call them and stop the payment, they will have to deal with your credit cards customer support and take their time all day to resolve it just like they are forcing you to do now. Your credit card will back you 100% once you tell them the story. I will never purchase from this company and this site should really think about removing them as a sponsor if they are treating members like this.

Nope. They were charging customers for 3-PC wheels and giving them 2-PC wheels, which cost less. As you can see, that was a HUGE problem.
