Tire Question

I am looking at a meatier tire. I currently got 245/35/20 and was thinking a 245/40/20 will they fit on my car. I have a Sedan awd. Its lowered on 350z s-tech, but hopefully soon some coilovers. What do you guys think.

That is quite a tall tire and almost 1.5" taller than stock, bad idea IMO. Whats wrong with the 245/35/20 size?

If I remember right, he wanted a better ride from the 20s. Thus the taller tire. That's going to hurt performance lumpia. What is your first name anyway? Calling you food is so odd.

I have 20x8.5, will I have to worry about rubbing. I also have a 5mm spacer up front so I am basically running a 35 offset up front.

that one I can't answer for you. Measure out an extra 6mm from your current tire position and see if it hits the fender

But your comment above mine is saying it can fit on a 8.5 rim right.

10mm total tire width increase. Since it across the whole tire, each side is going to stick out 5mm more. Do you have an additional 5mm clearance on both sides?

I actually think I do, I will check it tonight. I might have to roll the rears. But will this give me some extra cushion for the pushin. LOL

Yes, the tire will physically fit on an 8.5" wheel with no stretch. It is within the tire specs for a 255 width
