Power coating rims????

Power coating rims????

I have a 05 g35 coupe with the 19 inch rims silver..
and i want to get them power coater gold.
has anyone done it?
is it expensive to do?
and what is a good place to get it done?

well first off its powder coated. and where i live the goin rate is about $100 a rim

idk much about powder coating but there was a thread a week or so ago that they guy painted himself 2 sets of rims for about 60$$ total and it looked good. one set black other was gold. do a search youll prolly find it he posted pics tooo

paint chips way much easier then powder coat does

not too sure about gold but my stock 17's are actually painted black
i did them myself. came out really nice. people like them

until i get my te37s of course :]

I am going to paint mine for now, later on i will powdercoat them once they all faded and nasty. ^_^

mine were $50-$60 per wheel (did twice, 2 different colors that’s why I listed 2 prices)... + whatever your wheel shop charges to mount & balance - Goodyear charged my $100 ttl (included 2 days of storage)... so basically $300-$350 all together start to finish...
