this is exactly what i told crashtestdummy. by running full stiff front and soft rear, he has pushed the bias (9%) to the front even more (sway bar stiffness bias). i noted that the car will still oversteer, but at a much higher performance level of driving. at this setting, however, he will notice the benefits of reduced body roll and quicker cornering ON THE STREET!. we did it as a test to see if he would like it. the next setting on the rear gives a bias towards the rear by 29%, and i don't think he was ready to have the rear come out on him (if he were to accelerate out of a turn). i have the full stiff front, and medium rear and i love it. i have had the tail step out a very little bit while accelerating out of a turn, but i am comfortable with staying on the gas and dialing in a hint of countersteering. luckily, the bars are adjustable, so if he wants, he can take the rear bar to medium. it sounds like he is happy though.
crashtestdummy was missing grease also, so i guess hotchkis forgot to include it on this production run.
as a note: Clint and i are describing the same thing when we talk about "bias" but i have been talking about sway bar stiffness bias, and i beleive he is talking about a traction bias.

I'm not getting this...Why would you make it stiffer in the back than in the front (for a car that naturally understeers)? Doesn't stiffer make it grip more? Therefore, if you make it stiffer in the front, therefore grippier in the front, you'll have less understeer or "plow". Or by the same token, if you soften up the rear and have less grip in the rear, you'll slide the rear more which is oversteer. Am I missing something?

Hmmm, interesting. Thanks for the clarifcation. Is this only generally true when you have a difference in stiffness going from front to back (something due to weight transfer)? I have an Integra GSR and I'm pretty sure that my stiffer overall suspension setup (Koni/Eibach) handles corners much better than stock. But we're talking overall stiffness versus relative stiffness here which is different, right? Did any of this make sense?
