Do any of you with the Hotchkis sways (that didn't get any of the supposedly included grease tubes) have a crunching sound from any front and back car movement. Like when you come to a stop, accellerate, go over a speed bump, or over a dip?
I can really hear mine, when drving slow with the windows up and no music. We've check all the bolts and clearance and have narrowed it down to the bushings rubbing against the bar .... grease? hmm .. maybe.

I had terrible problems with squeaking noises when I got mine installed. The idiots at the shop I got it installed at, put them on with no grease (I have no idea if the bars even came with any even though the instructions says clearly to put grease on the bushings BEFORE installation). The rear bar has this cool fitting that lets you couple a standard grease gun and a shot or two later it's completely greased. My back bar is now completely silent. The front bar is a b*tch to get to and it uses the stock fittings. So unfortunately I'm going to have to take my car this weekend to someone that knows what they're doing so they can remove the front bar and do it right.

I called Hotchkis and am having them send me some of their grease. We used some other brand grease on the install ... but don't think it's cuttin it. keep us posted Blk_G35.

I got mine with everything in it and I made sure that I put more than enough of that silicon grease. So far so good no noise coming from the undercarrage.

It is very important that you use the correct grease for the front. It is specific for urethane pieces. I know you can buy Energy Suspension (urethane) bushings/etc. from Pep Boys. Maybe they carry their grease as well. Might want to give it a shot. I used prothane grease for the front (I didn't get any grease with the bars), and I have had NO problems with noise, etc. For the rears, I used a SYNTHETIC grease from advance auto. Great stuff.

Yeah, you just need to grease the front bushings. It is actually really easy. Just get under the car, remove the under engine cover, remove the 4 14mm bolts from each bushing (be careful when you remove the last one since the bar will swing down FAST if you aren't holding it), then pull each bushing off and load up the inside with the sticky white grease. Reinstall and you will not hear a peep from them!!!

What was the verdict on solving this one? Grease? I had my fronts tightened as they worked themselves loose after about a week. Grease alone wouldn't make the noise you describe as it sounds like yours were loose too? ?
