Yep, it's been done...I've seen it on a Sedan and a Coupe. But, you gotta make sure your wheels are made to clear aftermarket/brembos brake kit

I hope you're referring to purchasing the Grand Turismo Brembo kit because I think if you purchased the Brembo calipers and rotors that come with a 6MT from Infiniti, it's about the same price. Hence, you get better calipers and bigger rotors.

Re: Brembo brake upgrade on non 6MT?
I was asking the same question re. the oem brembo kit, for fitment on the sedan. . . true the GT kit is better, however, if the availability is there, for approx. the same cost you'd be stepping into a 4 wheel kit. I'm doing my research as well . . questions I have . .
1. will I even be able to find an oem brembo set in decent shape?
2. what is the installation like? any bracket fabrication, cutting of the dust guard, etc?
3. does the master cylinder size match the recommended piston size for non brembo equipped cars? or is there some modification there?
I mean if all those factors are against you, I'd much rather opt for a GT kit or Stoptech alternative, everything is there for you, instal and go . . I think I've grown out of the 'fab it up and make it work' stage of my life . . plus the other beauty is . . if you're not into it, the dealer can still service them!
Anybody have any insight?
Thanks

Re: Brembo brake upgrade on non 6MT?
OEM brembos come up every once in a while in the classified on my350z.com. Depending on the condition (miles, tracked or not), they tend to range in price around $2000 to $2500 (for all four corners.) For instance, I'm planning on upgrading to a BBK and my brembos have less than 7K on them. 90% highway miles and I haven't even invoked the ABS yet. I took a straight edge to the rotors and they show no wear on the borders at the ends of the pads. I could probably get on the upper end of the price range but I don't know if I'll sell them or not.
I think you would have to be patient and spend a premium $2500 to get a set that has low miles and has never been tracked.
I don't think there is any cutting necessary in the fronts. However, you will need to cut the 'dust guard' in the rear. Zimbo bought $1.99's brembos and installed them on his sedan.
Couldn't tell you about the cylinder size etc. However, if the aftermarket kits use the stock cylinder etc., the stock brembos should work fine also.
