Alignment issues

Hi folks. I bought my 5AT sedan about three months ago. When I first drove the car, I noticed a drift to the right. Took it back to the dealer, the said they fixed it a bit. The alignment was better but still drifted a tiny bit to the right so I didn't make a big deal out of it.
This weekend, I had my car dropped with some Tein S-Techs and put on 19s. When I got my car back after an alignment, it pulled to the right quite a bit. They swapped the front wheel and it seemed fine (slight pull to left. Very slight). So they flipped the front tires and I drove off (cause I didn't have time left in the day). The car now still drifts to the right. Not as bad as before. But still. The shop says that the alignment was fine. What's to be done about this? Anyone else had something like this?

Andrew

Re: Alignment issues

Strange...

I have a 5AT 2003 sedan.
I also have a drift to the right, when you drive and you have to correct yourself a little every 10 secs or so.

The car did not have this drift untill I got the tires rotated, balanced and alignment done. Still stock tires though.

I started to see quite a bit of drift to the right after this. Took it back and they said alignment is good and swapped the front tires that greatly reduced the drift but is not completely gone. They say that one of the front tires is very slight warped and it is because of that.
Not sure if that is true but it is strange they did the same thing that they did with you. Maybe its trick alignment folks use for a quick fix.
I am hoping in about 2K miles I will rotate tires again and it might go away then.
Any thoughts, anyone.

Re: Alignment issues

You could have problems with your right front compression rod. There is a TSB for it. I had to have it fixed on my coupe. This TSB was for the 2003 but I'm sure it could happen on the 2004 as well.
