Curious about offset rims
Curious about offset rims
Waddup guys!! New to the website. Just got a 03 g35 coupe with 51000 on it. Looking for some rims and i see a lot off people have offset rims. I want 20s but i was wondering do they have to be offset?
Something more flush. I bought a set before i got the car but they're not offset (didn't know what offset was till i found this set). 20x9s all four. will those work or should i get another set?

Ditch them and get something more like a 20x9.5 and 20x10.5. The offsets you should be looking for shoud be more like a +17 for the front and a +25 for the rear. Also is your car equipped with Brembo brakes?

anything over +17 for the rear, is major fail

for the wheels to be flush you need the offset to be btwn +10 to +17 all around. +10 will give you a lil pokeage, +17 on the flushish side
if you want major pokage, then +10 and lower
some are even going to negative offsets

with that said, most aftermarket wheels you find, the offsets are gonna be in the +20 range
unless you get something custom, DPE, HRE, Works, etc
so thats when spacers come into play

I had a mazda millenia before the G. it was throw the rims on and go. lol!! all these numbers are confusing me. i've seen a couple of g's with 20s and they wasn't offset. don't know exactly what size they were. but they definately wasn't offset.
