Hello all from Tire Rack

Hi there Neal,
I'm in need of new tires for an '05 G35 Sedan w/sport package (235/45R18). I live in Colorado, and have a set of Blizzak WS-50s mounted on 17" wheels for deep winter. However, I'd like to get these off the car ASAP to save as much life as I can out of those tires.
Basically, I'm looking for an AS tire that can handle the shoulder seasons well. Prefer low noise and good treadlife. One of the tires I've been looking at is the Hankook Ventus V4 ES, but it doesn't look like you stock this size. What else would you suggest? The Conti DWS look very nice, but are a little more than I'd like to pay.
Thanks for any advice you can provide!

Hey, Neal!
Glad to have you on board. Perfect timing as I have some questions in regards to tire replacements... my 2005 G35 coupe is due for a tire change soon and I was wondering if you had any suggestions/recommendations as to which tires to get? I have been and am currently cruising with the Bridgestone Potenza's... they're kind of pricey, so was curious to know if there are other brands out there that might be less costly, but still of decent quality. I've already perused the Tire Rack.com website and I was wondering my options are limited to what's listed. Any info/help would be greatly appreciated. Thank you!!

Rim Width
I have 2005 coupe, I am looking at buying aftermarket rims and I have been looking for quite some time now. I like the flushed look (the deep dish look) on the back rims and the wide aggressive look it has from the sides and especially if you are looking from behind the car. I want to stay with the 19 inch size and the staggered sizing, but my question is how wide can I get in front and the back. My understanding that now I am riding on 8.0 in front and 8.5 in the back with the factory 19 inch rims. How wide can I go without modifications. I really dislike spacers so thats not an option I willing to take.
I was looking at possible 8.5/9.0 in the front and 9.5/10.0 in the back. The tiresizes would be 245/40/19 front and 255 or 265/40/19 in the back. So, in other words, how wide can I go so that I can achieve this look without affecting fender rashing, shock/structs damage, etc.....

Current Model/Tire Sizes
Thanks for the quick reply, Neal. Currently have... Bridgestone Potenza RE050A, 225/40R19 (front) and 245/40R19 (rear).
I've been reading the reviews on the Potenza's and everyone seems to have mixed opinions. It hasn't been that long since I last changed out my tires... maybe like a year or year and a half ago.... only replaced two tires... the dealership moved the front ones to the back and put new ones in the front, I think... or something to that effect.
Any thoughts? Suggestions?

Neal, I plan on getting some new wheels (19x9.9F +19 & 19x10.5 +17) I also want an aggressive look, but want my ride to be a bit comfortable, since it is my daily driver.
I was thinking 245F/275R or 255F/285R, what do you recommend?
Also can you give me quote on some Yokohama S drive or any similar brand in performance and quality, shipped to 95765 for the both setup size mention. Thanks

Don't know any way around the speedo reading. More importantly if the sizes are not correct you'll trip the VDC and cause more issues that speedo error.

[QUOTE=neal@tirerack;4944735]We've gone as large as a 255 front with a 285 rear w/out issues. If you wanted to be a little conservative you could run 245/35-19 front 275/35-19 rear. Widest wheels would be a 9" front and 10.5" rear (although most the 10.5" wheels have been discontinued).
Thanks, that helped alot, now its time to find that special rim for that special look... Thanks again.....
