I looked up online and it stated Sears auto was my local vendor at kumho's site. I went there and this old fart pretty much laugh at me and said, #1 you should of bought from us, #2 should of bought the road hazard.

He then goes on telling me, the bubbles can form in matter of a day or 15000 miles, if you dont have road hazard your screwed. I then go follow up with so i get tires mounted here drive down the block and go home, see damage on sidewall and i'm screwed because i didn't buy road hazard? He couldn't reply to me when customers there. But he wanted to say yes and smile.

Either way, i went ahead and called your CS and got it taken care of. THANKS A LOT. One phone call to you guys made it COMPLETELY easy. Now i just gotta find a cheap local shop to dismount/mount that tire.

I ended up going with the Firestones. They're much different than the Yoko S.drive, they ride more like an all season tire and the sidewalls aren't as stiff. But I think it's a good match for the car.

I'll consider the s.drive again in the future but with 3 out of 6 tires sent to me being badly out of round (wobbly at highway speeds even though they check out OK on hunter roadforce), I needed to stay away.... perhaps just a bad batch of tires, perhaps a bad design, or a bad match for the car.

I noticed the website lists two different s.drives now, one marked "new". So maybe they've been redesigned since I ordered the full set in January??

i'm in the market of getting tires.
i hear many people saying that falken fk452 grip well but they make LOUD road noise. Is this true? and they don't last long.
How are yokohama s-drive tires for stretch look and grip for DD?

Honestly not sure on the Falkens as we do not carry them. As a dd tire the Yoko would work out perfectly fine. Those have been out for quite some time and I've had nothing but good feedback. If in your sizes, may also want to check out the B-Stone 760.

Neal can you help me locate some wheel locks for TSW Snettleton 20" wheels - they have a deep well 19mm lugnut.. Appreciate it.

front: Avon Tech M550 A/S 225/40zr18
rear: Avon Tech M550 A/S 255/40ZR18

The car is driven about 5000 miles a year Spring/Summer/Fall; mildly aggressive city driving with occasional highway; wet and dry pavement.

Can you give me your recommendation on a new set from tirerack? I'm not set on the current size or type as that is what was on it when I bought the car.

Those are a tad wide for the oe 8" wheels and short up front. I'd go back to 225/45-18 Frt 245/45-18 Rr.

If you see any possible snow, or want to stick with an all season tire like you have now, I'd look at (longer life a/s traction):

Michelin Pilot Sport A/S
Conti DWS
B-Stone RE970 A/S

In a sport summer tire with no snow/ice possibilities (shorter life better handling):

B-Stone RE760
Hankook V12 EVO
