Tire setup change!

Hey guys, I have a set of work gnosis gs3 20x9.5 + 20x10.5 +14 front +20 rear, stance coiIovers adjustable rear toe camber ect. I was curious on getting bigger tires and trying somthing new for the g35, I currently have 225/35/20F and 245/35/20R I wouldn't mind getting out of the stretched tire look for a while what would be my options on the size of wheels that I would be able to run I'm look for a " proper fitment" thanks!

3 piece wheel questions:

What ate the torque specs on the hardware?
If taking them apart, what do you use to seal the seam where the parts meet?

Any idea what they might be for Work VS-KFs? Had the set made by VR Wheels and found a couple loose so trying to keep it together until I can re-rebuild them.

You need new wheels if you no longer choose to stretch. I'd straighten up the camber and throw your stock wheels on if you want to start commuting a fair distance.

If you want to run normal specs, 20x9 +30 and 20x10 +40 will fit, I don't know how aggressive your pull is but possibly a lower offset in the rear could work.

RTV Black is the silicone I use and I've never once had a wheel leak.

Torque specs depend on the wheels as mentioned above, for your average 40 bolt work wheel you're looking at cross torquing and a step torque. Once at 15ft/lbs then again at 30ft/lbs

Are you local to VR? I'd personally go back to Jack and be like dude, wtf these wheels weren't torqued...

NO. This will 150% snap the bolts, the hardware is not set up for those torque specs, sometimes even torquing to 35ft/lbs can snap them.

It would have been very apparent after the first bolt that torquing them down that much was not correct haha.

That's rough, I'm surprised they sent out a set like that...

You may have been thinking newton meters? But Americans usually don't use that form of measurement. But 30ft/lbs translates to roughly 40n/m

It's possible they just came loose I guess? Have had them on for a couple months (since maybe July/August) and only noticed a couple loose while I was washing it last weekend. Maybe 7 or 8 total bolts on all four wheels, but 5 of those were close to each other on the front driver side wheel. I'm lucky I noticed to be honest, I wouldn't have paid attention if my hand hadn't hit them while I was washing it.

No problems with VR overall though, inspected the other wheels and they're all fine so I'd consider it a fluke. I learned something in the process and nothing broke so it's all good. Time for new tires now. And a crap load of fender work.
