I have a G35 sedan with 17" stock wheels but I am looking to use those as winter wheels and tires. I am considering buying some 18" wheels and tires for the summer but the tires on the wheels I am looking to buy have 225/40/18 tires on it. What kind of adverse effects will this cause? I believe I hsould be running a 225/45 or 22/50 with 18s. It also seems the wheels are only 7.5" wide with an offset of +43. Any issues here?

In terms of fitment the look is really up to you and what you really want it to look like.

But those wheels WILL work.
However, the widest I would go on your OEMs are 235/50. But again you're into $500-$600 for decent 17" tires. You may find some coupe 18s with OEM potenzas for the same price!

Personally, for what it's going to cost you for brand new 17s you should look into some OEM coupe 18s. They can usually be found from $500-$800 with good tires.

i have a 2005 G35 sedan and i'm thinking about getting the following:
front: 19x8.5 +35 offset
rear: 19x9.5 +40 offset
i am lowered on tein s-tech springs.
what size tires would you recommend and also are those good offsets? i want to be pretty flush but i don't like the whole "hella flush with stretched tires" look. any help would be appreciated. thanks in advance.
p.s. i plan on getting my fenders rolled so i don't mind having to do that.

Okay guys. I have ordered the new ES 1.1.3's and they will be the +15 20x10 front and 20x11 rear. I would like a fairly stretched tires where the lip of the wheels can be noticed from the rear. My idea was to go stretched like so.
But these are 19's what would you guy's recommend for 20's?

"As drew said, 235 and 255 are your best bet. But you're going to need spacers to "see the lip from the rear" As those specs are not aggressive enough to poke."
That sounds about right. I have some 15 and 20mm spacers. was thinking of doing the 15 in the rear 20 up front. Also what series of tire would be best for a nice stretch. I keep hearing 30 series and 35 series. the 35 are more aggressive? correct?
What order are the series in as far as least stretch to most.
I know that the 30 35 series, meaning the height of the tire from the rim to the tread is 75% of the width. But still i get confused on which tires are most aggressive.![Banghead](https://g35driver.com/forums/images/smilies/banghead.gif)
