They have yet to give me that hammer...
I have actually requested to become a mod of just this section though. Not have ban rights or anything like that. Just so I can keep the wheel and tire section clean and organize the threads.

lol I know I was just trolling
This thread is amazing, I really appreciate all your help. Definitely taught me many things.
Is there a way to explain how fitment works and how do you know what fits and what not?

I've tried with that but there are so many variables that it's really impossible. I've actually attempted to put together somewhat of a "G35 Handbook to fitting ****" but I can't ever seem to figure out how to categorize the information and streamline it enough to make it easier than just answering questions as they come.
I'd love to make a thread that would be a quick couple paragraph read and by the time you're done, you know what can and can not fit on the Z/G platform BUT I just can't seem to get that together quite yet.

Our Lug nuts are 12x1.25. Pretty common thread for nissan as we share that thread pitch with Subaru. Lots of options for lugnuts, but you'll want a "Tuner" style lug. And yes that is the term, I didn't just make it up!
Sorry I put the size in the first thread. They are 19x8.5. And for the lugs, what makes them tuner versions? I saw short version and extended versionsOriginally Posted by 4DGS
I can't suggest tires because you have forgot to include what size wheel you have ordered! What size wheel did you order? lolOur Lug nuts are 12x1.25. He's probably referring to the seat type of the lug nuts. Most aftermarket wheels use conical/tapered seats which some people call tuner style.
this pic should make it clear

When you order lug nuts, usually any will work as long as the end of it looks tapered like that (not round or curved, etc).
The only options to choose is 12x1.5 or 12x1.25, which just describes the size of the thread that the lug nuts will go on.

THEY ARE 19x8.5!!!
Also, I heard that the Lug nuts are different from car to car. I'm not talking about the bolt pattern, I'm talking about the actual lug nuts. Does anyone here know the size/thread of the Lug nuts?
Thanks in advance!

hey guys. I ordered a pair of Drag DR – 37 wheels yesterday. I'm looking to get a set of tires that will fit them without me having to fuss with the speedometer, so I basically need them to be the same overall size as the stock wheels plus tires. I don't need the highest performing tires, but also I don't want some big ol' fat winter tires. THEY ARE 19x8.5!!!

those lug nuts should be fine. extended lug nuts are only if you have extended studs on the car. (longer bolts) the longer lug nuts ensure that the longer studs/bolts don't hit the end of the lug nut before it is completely tight

I did multiple searches over the span of 3 days and didn't really come up with any clear answers. I just came across a really good deal on 4 used Michelin Pilot Sport Plus A/S 245/40/18 with about 90-95% thread left for $325 mounted and balanced on my 04 Coupe 18" OEMs. So this would be going on all around
-Would VDC act up because of the rear sidewall decreasing (stock size 245/45)?
-Is this understeer or oversteer and how is this performance wise?
I'm really in a tight budget and I can't get new tires which cost like $800+ mounted and balanced but I need some rubber since my tires are counting their last breath . My initial plan was going 245/40 front and 245/45 rear but I can't find anything reasonable. Please shine some light on me to make a decision lol!
GO AHEAD and flame me!

here are actually many other options. Most American cars run larger studs and have 14x1.5 lugs for example, chargers, magnums 300s and any other LX platform.

Are they off a G37 sedan? They'll fit fine for a winter set up as long as you're not running an upgraded brake set up.Originally Posted by krazzyborri
