Rims sizes
Hello, this is my first post on the forums! I have a question regarding wheel sizes for my 2004 Infiniti g35 coupe (5AT), no brembo package. There is a deal for Varrstoen es 111 18x10.5 +15 offset 5x114. My car is completely stock, it is not lowered (as far as I know). My question is.. will these non-staggered rims fit my car, without having to roll my fenders? Will everything be normal? If so, what size of tires should i be running?
Thanks

They will fit your car just fine, you don't need to stagger the wheels if you don't want to, plenty of people running square setups. You have the option of running square tires as well (which would allow you to rotate them), however you'd be limited on the sizing you can run up front. Before recommending any sizes I would ask you how long you plan on being on a stock suspension? If you're going to lower it you'd want to change your tire specs to clear. Are you going to stay at stock height for the next year or more? And is the same "deal" available with a staggered setup (9.5+15ish front would work fine with the 10.5+15 rear) or is this a deal on a used set that's already made?

I am not sure if I will keep a stock suspension, but it will be the stock suspensions until atleast the beginning to end of the next summer. Although that square option would fit, wouldn't it look funny in the front? The deal on the rims is from a local who bought the rims for his skyline but they didn't fit cuz of the brake kit so I can't get them staggered. However, there is another deal for a pair of staggered 20 inch Axis Pentas that are already one a g35 coupe of the same year and suspension. The owner is yet to tell me the offset but they are 20 X 10X 4.5 and 20 X 9 X 4.5 for the front. The wheels look great and the deal is with the tires, for 1500. Firstly, is this a good deal and, secondly, wouldn't it be better to have the staggered look with the Pentas and because thy are already on a g, meaning they would fit no problem?
Thanks

There's a huge difference in appearance between 18" and 20" wheels on our cars for starters. If you like the look of the Axis Pentas and they've already got tires and you can see how they'll look go for them. I don't know what they go for so I can't comment on 1500 being good, bad, or other, but you can google the price new and see if he's taking off a good amount for you. If you're not going to do suspension work any time soon you might be unhappy with the amount of wheel gap left by the 18s.
I would suggest some time rolling around the google image search and the media/picture share sections here to get an idea of the looks you like and get a feel for what different sizing does to the appearance of a wheel/tire combo.
I know I didn't really answer any of your questions, sorry, it's just that we're getting pretty subjective here so it's going to be up to you what you like more.
And yes, a completely square setup will look a little odd up front without any suspension or body work, you'd want spacers to even out the back.

Won't know whether or not a roll will be needed without knowing the offsets and tire sizes, but 90% sure you will be fine without rolling them at stock height. If you lower it later it's something to consider doing (just a good idea in general if you're going to be close, it's not normally expensive and isn't something you'll notice once it's done right).

This was on my 05. I later purchased an 06 after a couple of years after I sold the 05 and ran the same wheel but this time I was lowered on 350z skunk2 springs and I also had 25mm spacers all around. My tire sizes at this time were 225/35 upfront and 245/35 out back. I rolled the lip pretty flat and maybe a slight pull.
Stil didn't rub at this point. The fronts I just did the phonebook/magazine pull and no issues.
Later I went with 38mm upfront & 30 in the rear on the same suspension and the fronts would rub whenever I turned. I could have just did the phonebook/magazine pull like I did one side and it would have been perfect. Outback I did not mess with because it was still good and no rubbing outback.
Hope this helps

Okay so on my new setup I'm on coils and running 20x10.5 upfront & 20x11.5 outback.
My current rear tire is a 255/35/20 but I need a different one. Don't know whether to go with a 255/30 or 265/30. I see shanesg used an exclaim 265/30 both on his 11.5 & 12 rear setup. I'm running a slightly more aggressive setup then he is outback. My issue in the rear is the tire is going to rub against the bumper. Here's a pic -
I can pull a little more instead of running a ridiculous amount of camber -
And here is a 255/35/20 vs a 255/30/20 both on the same 11inch rim.
Upfront I may be able to pull it off with the current tire - 235/35/20 but I need to shave bumper and also bend the bumper tab but don't know how to go about it. Any and all info appreciated.
I may have to buy upper A-arms to get half a degree of negative camber. Current camber is around -2.7 iirc.
Car is getting painted next month so my fenders will be smoothed out then.
