17s Front, 18s Rear

I know that the 17in stock 7 spokes will fit over a OEM Brembo setup, but has anyone run the 17in. stock 7 spokes in the front and 18in. stock 7 spokes in the rear?

The reason I ask is because I have dented too many rims in the front to this point and would like a slightly beefier tire. Since the 17s look the same as the 18s, but have a thicker tire, would this work?

Any problems that you might think I will have by doing this?

I know which one you are talking about, but to my knowledge, there is a 17x7 7 spoke wheel that looks exactly like the stock 18.

which is made for the sedan and has a high offset which will look like crap on a coupe. And i HIGHLY doubt it would clear stock Brembo brakes.

Why not get a fatter tire up front on your 18's? You can run a 225/50 or a 245/45 up front and do a 255/45 in the rear.

I wouldn't get rub from a 245/45 up front?

Do you think I can run the 245/45s on all fours until I can get the 255/45s in the rear without issue?

1. If you are on stock suspension or just mildly dropped, you WILL NOT rub.

2. Yes.

You can be dropped down to the floor and you wont rub with 245/45's all around. I've put the same setup on a coupe lowered slightly with Tein H-Techs and another coupe with espiler springs which is a good 1.8" drop.
