For those who installed their own EDFC

I was installing my new TEIN CS w/ EDFC last nite, but when I got to the rears, there were no openings to get the wire from the edfc motor above the shock tower. I'm sure some of you guys have done your own install on this setup and I was wondering how did you guys do it? Did you remove the trunk lining out to drill a hole or you went from the inside removing the speaker deck and drilled a hole there? Any pointers would help. I appreciate it.

Thanks!!!

Re: For those who installed their own EDFC

I installed my tein cs with edfc. I used a hole saw to cut thru from the passenger compartment to the shock tower. There were a couple of holes (maybe to vent) already there. I just stuck a screwdriver into one of them to see which one worked better.
Just make sure the hole you cut is large enough for the edfc connections to fit thru.

Re: For those who installed their own EDFC

yes, use a drill that you can cut approximately a 2" diameter hole in the frame. take a piece of rubber hose and slice it down one side to use it as lining for the hole so they edges won't cut you or the wiring. did you figure out where to run the front wiring thru the fire-wall? as for the rears, i ran the wiring under the carpet along the sides around to meet with the front wiring and mounted the controller in the ashtray so that i can conceal it when its not in use. good luck with the install!
