04 Coupe w/ Continental Extreme Contact DW Tires

Hey whats up fellas

I have these tires on for about 4,000 miles already and they still look new. I have them mounted on the stock 18 inch rims. Coming from PS2's, the ride comfort has improved a good amount. Being that I use this car mostly for daily commutes to work and back....ride comfort is one of my main concerns. One thing I have noticed is that the sidewall is some what soft. I am running these at 35psi all around. I wanted to know if there are any other owners of these tires who bumped up the tire pressure. The steering response is a tad slow, even though they grip great. Anyone have any recommendations on these tires on what to run them at? These are supposed to be highly rated tires but the slow response takes my confidence away. I am reading on some M5 forums that most owners love them but run them around 36front/ 40 back.

Any feedback is appreciated. Thanks

Performed during our test to the level of the PS2 but for a lot less $. Has been a great tire for a decent price thus far.

I had the PS2's before these. The ride quality improved, near silent feels like im floating. And I thought the expensive Michelin's were comfortable which they were, but not as much as the Conti's. Grip is just as good in dry. Wet is another story, these seem like wet roads don't even effect them performance wise. It's actually incredible. Stopping and braking improved also. Overall they are a better tire for a cheaper price....I don't think that another company has something close to it in all those categories. But what does bug me is the response time due to the softer sidewall. I have been reading on Porsche, and BMW forums where lots of people have these increasing them another 3-4 psi from standard. I am going to give it a shot.

I have the Kumho SPTS on my 2007 coupe with 19 inch wheels. The tread life is great as well as the wet weather traction but they are loud and roar. I plan on going with the Conti DWS when it's time for more tires. They were actually my top 2 choices and I went with the Kumho, but Im going with the Conti's next.

my DWS tires are **** now, all the special angled tread is gone and I only have 13k on these tires.

Dry grip sucks and wet grip is bad. Very sad.. these tires were so good for the first 7k, then shortly after the angle tread finished I been having all these issues.

Also it seems like I wont make 50k miles meh..

Wow sorry to hear that? But I have heard nothing but positive feedback about the DWS tires. When was the last time you had your toe checked or had an alignment? They are suppose to be one of the best tires for tread life and wet traction. They are also suppose to be a quiet tire also? I still have plenty of tread left on my Kumho tires but im looking forward to changing tires.

Though I still have the Pilot Sport's on my G, I put the DWS on my DD WRX and have about 10,000 miles on them.

Tires are super quiet but were a bit less responsive than the OEM Bridgestones that they replaced...until I upped the tire pressure by about 5psi, (35/37).

Still really comfortable, quiet and now better cornering. Very good tire in my opinion. After 10k miles I'm hardly noticing any treadware, the DWS indicator on the center rib is still highly visible. Tires did really well in the snow and rain that we've had and would highly recommend them to anyone looking for an all season performance tire.

Yes they are comfy and quiet, just tread life is sucking and traction sucks.

It was checked last year, I am going again this month, all 4 tires have same wear, so idk whats going on. meh
