Question regarding spacers and studs

I own an 07 G35 sport sedan, and I am planning on purchasing a set of 10mm Ichiba version 1 spacers for my front MRR wheels. Do I need to use the studs that come with the spacers, or can I use the oem studs? Will the oem lugs have enough thread to securely attach the wheels? I dont really want to use the extended lugs...I have no idea how to change them, and directions are not included. TIA

Yes you will have to use the extended studs that come with the spacer. If you don't want to swap our your studs then get a set of Project Kics 10mm spacers with built-in studs.

Thanks for the quick response! What could happen if I used the oem studs with the 10mm spacer? I will look into Project Kics, thanks!

+1^ what he said.
I don't know why people even go through the hassle of extending the oem studs.
The built in studs on the aftermarket spacers are so much easier to deal with.

There prob wouldn't be enough threaded bolt for the lugnut to fit securely.
I suppose you could take your wheel off and see how much room there is to play with,
but it seems better to just get a wheel spacer with the extended studs.

I would rather be safe than sorry...especially with my 2 year old sitting in the back.

With a 5mm spacer you have enough threads left on the OEM studs to get 3 full turns of the lug nut. I wouldnt run more than that (5mm) with OEM studs. Built in is the way to go like they said.
