Volks SF-Winnings 19" Offset question??
#32
hahaha - NEVER! I've been waiting for 2 months now and it's getting old...
I've been calling Mackin trying to get them to release the info on all the wheels that are coming in the next container that is supposed to hit shores on Feb. 11th - I should find something out around the 5th or so... I **might** be changing my mind if there's something in that container that intrigues me (basically if there's a gunmetal set of winnings in my sizes/offsets, I'm going for them!)

omg bza now thats a lip on that Z! thanx for the offset info...911 thanks for the props, but errr, how did u know i live in westchester? stalker! lol, j/k! just a side note, we spoke to reps at Volk and they absolutely told us that 9.5's wouldnt fit on the front of our car and that it was made for the rears...i'll admit, brembo clearance is minimal, i'm talkin like if a small pebble gets in between the rim and the caliper while i'm driving, something is getn fugged up big time, its like less than a 1/4" clearance...BUT no rubbing issues or anything even on full lock turn.

yer welcome...personally i like the stretched look, it makes the rim look bigger IMO...it also just happens that stretching the tire will give you a closer to stock setup which means less hinderance in handling and the sort. with the narrower(is that a word?) tire, you are also less prone to wearing down the inner tread cos when you drop this bad boy you'll surely notice a huge difference in camber.

profile....how's the handling with the 9.5 in front? and 10.5 in the rear? ...I had no idea that the brembo's in the front would be such a tight fit
What is the lip size with your offsets? I noticed that your front lip is HUGE as well...and your back lip is alittle bigger!!!....awesome look

i'm planning on a 9.5 and 10.5 set up with +19 for the front and back offset. So it seems as though the +19 and +29 have the same lip. ...but I'm concerned more on the flushness of the rim to the car.... and of course fatter lip wouldn't hurt. I was just wondering if +19 in the back is okay without rolling fenders on tein s techs??

well, I lied about changing my order - I got a call from Chris at F1 on Friday and my wheels are in this container - that hits shores Feb. 11th!!! I'm sooooo excited!
Bean - If you're wanting to run a 275/35, you can use the +19/+17 setup, but you're going to have to roll the fender if you're going to lower the car at all...
aftcash - that's exactly what my setup is going to look like - the front wheel has nearly a 3" lip and the rear is about 3.5" - I love the big lip in the front look also, that's why I chose this setup and not the other setup I was pondering (9.5" +32 - will clear brembos but has a lip the same size as the 8.5" +25 - ie, not much)
Two weeks and counting, and everyone will finally see what I've been ranting about all this time! (my car is already settled on Hotchkis springs, so it looks great! it's waiting on fat rubber to fill those barren wheelwells!)

BZABODYN.
Yeah...I went with the same offsets that you recommended...the +29/+29 f/R...but the tire in the back will be 275.....
With the +29 offset will the tire be flush with the body at the apex of the wheel well??? ....I don't plan on lowering the car at all.......
SEND ME SOME PICS OF YOUR CAR WITH THE RIMS WHEN YOU SET IT UP!! EMAIL ME DIRECTLY!!!!!! :-)

You don't want to run the 10.5 +19 rear - it is actually a front wheel made for widebody GT-R's, so it has BBK clearance and a smaller lip (and STILL won't fit without rolling the fender) - you might as well get the 10.5 +29, because they have the same lip size and it has a ton more clearance...
you should not get the +19 by any means... either the +17 or +29 should be the only ones you consider - +17 if you don't care about rolling the fender and want a huge lip; +29 if you DO care about rolling the fender and still want a big lip...

a couple of pics, I hope baumer doesn't mind, his Gold SF Winnings
Baumer has the same offset I do, +19 front +17 rear and 245/35 front 275/35 rear.
Diamond Black SF Winnings
My pictures aren't half as good as his but you get the idea. We stay in the same area and have compared both cars side by side. It really comes down to personal preference..both look amazing but I think he has me beat. My offset is the same but I have 255/35 front and 285/35 rear.. I had rubbing issues but he didn't..both cars are dropped on eibach springs. Either way I would do it exactly the same way all over again, I may have misunderstood but I thought +19 and +17 is the most aggressive offset you can go with and also the biggest lip?

it's hard to tell in those pics since they are taken at an angle, but in terms of "flushness" with the outside edge of the fender, does the +19 front/+17 rear combo maintain the same spacing front and back? I'm going with +19 in the front for sure, but i'm debating between +17 in the rear and +29... i'm trying to determine which of those two rears would best match the +19 front... thoughts on that aspect of it?
thanks,
Jeff
