All season tires for G35 with 18 in wheel

I'm getting ready to purchase a new G35 Sedan with the sport suspension package which comes with the 18 in wheels. My concern is the availability of "good" all weather tires. I know I can get snow tires but I would rather just run a decent all weather tire and not be bothered with changing them each winter. Is there a large selection? I looked at some web sites and didn't see much (maybe its just me) but can some one recommend an all season tire for the G35 Sedan? Thanks

Your factory size (assuming this is an 05) should be 235/45-18. There really isn't a great selection of all season tires in that size. We (The Tire Rack) only carry one in that size, Michelins Pilot HX MXM4 which is Infiniti's M45 OEM tire. To be honest its not that great. You could move to a 245/45-18 which would really open up your all season options

How about Pirelli tires

Thanks for responding. So what do you think of the Pirelli P-Zero Nero M&S tires? They are a little pricy, Can you recommend anything else?

Great tire to have, many people really like them. Similar performance to the Michelin Pilot Sport A/S but w/out the cost. Unfortunately they are on a really big national backorder. We prob wont see that tire for 8-10 wks. The Continental Extreme Contact and Avon Tech M550 A/S are also good tires in the 245 size

Thanks again. Looks like I do have a better selection. Last question, I'm not really very knowledgeable about tires but I assume going from 235 to 245 on the tire width, I can still use the stock wheels on the G35 sedan? Thanks again, you have been very helpfull!

Because my car pulled to the right, even after a new control arm (via TSB) and 2 alignments, my dealer decided to swap out my GY GSD's 215/55/17 (due to radial pulls in the OEM GSD's) for the Michelin Pilot Sport A/S 235/50/ZR17 - W rated (Plus 0 size), and WOW...what a difference. The Michelin's are so much better!! -- wider, better handling, better grip, longer treadwear...maybe, a little louder and harder - yes, but they give a better feel of the road, and no more pulling to the right!

Now, granted they have a wider contact patch, but they seem much sportier than the GY GSD's, which I though was strange since the GSD's are suppose to be summer tires (the rubber seems softer with a treadwear rating of 180 or so) and the Michelin Pilot Sport A/S tires are all-season tires (the rubber seems harder with a treadwear rating of 400). It was a good thing the dealer swapped them out under my warranty since the Michelin's are so expensive, but evidently well worth it!!

Maybe drgolf975d can get the Michelin's in a size to fit his 18" wheels????

xceler8,
i have a 04 coupe w/ 18's. I was also looking at getting some good all seasons instead of going winter/summer. the continental contiextremecontact, pirellie pzero nero, and michelin pilot a/s got the best reviews.

couple questions,
how do i find out about which tire will last the longest? is there a number on the tire or some spec i don't know?

second question,
you already know this but my stock tires are 225/45 and 245/45.
the closest tire size i see in the pirelli's are 225/40 and 245/40.
the closest in the continental was 225/40 and 245/45.

I'd like to keep the same outside diamter, what do you advice?
Thanks in advance!

I have a set of Kuhmo high performance all season tires. They arent perfect. But it is actually a lot better than the stockers. I am really happy with them. BF Goodrich also has the G-force all season, its a good one as well.
