wider tires size for stock 18's?

i have the stock 18 x 8 wheels on a coupe w/pilot sports, 225-18-45 (front) and 245-18-45 (rear)....i will need to get new tires soon and am interested in getting wider tires front and rear...does anyone know what will fit on these wheels without much change to the ride height?

I don'tthink that it is advisable to go wider than 245 on a rim with an 8 inch width, for safety reasons.

Go with 245/40/18 in front and 245/45/18 or 255/45/18 in back. 255/45 are a little higher and wider than the 245/45s. You'll maintain the stagger, and reduce the understeer built in to the car. As an aside, 245/40s are much easier to find than 225/45s. Both sizes are the same height, however, but the 245/40 has more meat.

I've been running 255's on my 17in coupe rear rims for over a year now. No problems at all. Some people flirt w/ 275's. (yikes)

They'll fit, but......
