summer tires can be driven year round and will outperform most all season tires in the rain.

I realized that since we're moving across country we should really buy tires from Big O because their partner NTB is available in the north-east so I'm restricted to tires that they sell.

I had the realization that the G35, being a RWD sports coupe means that for safety reasons it should be driven on winter tires like the Blizzack LMs in the winter, so maybe I'll just get whatever regular tires I can get a good deal on at big O and then I'll just get winter tires when the winter rolls around if I move to the northeast.
Thoughts on that?

I don't know to much about winter tires being a socal guy my whole life but I do know that you will want a winter setup depending on the weather conditions in your area.

^ Sounds right to me if you're determined to operate your G coupe in the snow safely.

Good thread on winter driving here.

Thanks for the recommendation. I also watched a few videos on youtube of people trying to operate the G on snow with summer or A/S tires. It was quite slide-y hahaha so I think I'm just going to get whatever A/S tires I can get a good deal on for CA weather, and then when I get to the east coast if wherever I live doesn't clear its roads well I'll get a winter set up. It just sucks that 19inch wheels and tires are so expensive. I couldn't even find steel wheels in 19 inches and OEM wheels would set me back like 1 grand before the tires if I got a second set of those.

I'm getting Nitto Motivo because they have 60k guaranteed mileage, which means 30k because we have staggered sizes. They're also supposed to be good in rain, better than the continental DW so if I move to seattle I won't even need new tires, just for the winter in the northeast.

Motivo are a good tire, just not one of our favorites. Do us a favor and write up a good review on them please!

I think they were the best tire I could get through Big O besides the Michelin super sport but I didn't really feel like I'd utilize the performance enough to spend like 30 bucks more per tire on them.

I'll do my best but I've never done a tire review so what kind of stuff should I look out for?
