9.5" width wheels, what tire size?

i wanted to know what people are running on their 9.5 in. width wheels. would our stock tires (225 and 245) fit on 9.5 in.? i know 225's would be stretching the tires, but i want to know if it can be done safely.

thanks in advance.

never heard of a 225 on a 9.5 width wheel. most people are running 245 and i've seen a few 255s as well. 245 already gives a slightly stretched look.

enzo, you can put 225 on a 9.5" rim. i know lots of G's here in oahu that have/are running them for the jdm stretched look. if you care about vdc, then it's not the thing to do. 9.5 can be fitted with 225/235/245/255 safely. 235 and below would need to be installed by people like Eurosport, or Revolutions.

what rim is this???

the black coupe with SP1s had 225's on a 9.5" rim, and they were SP9's (more stretched than falken's!!)

cool thanks for the info. to be on the safe side, would you recommend i stay with 235 tires in the front and 245 in the rear? can i run stretched tires on pretty much any tire? i mean, do i need to buy a specific type or brand of tire?

i'll probably use Euros.

i'm thinking about getting a set of 18x9.5 wheels.

as far as recommendations regarding the tires, i'm not sure. you want to keep a certain ratio. call Euro's and ask Jeff.

yes, certain tires offer better stretching abilities. tires like Dunlop SP9's, Fuzion ZRi's, Falken GRB FK451's, Falken ST-115's, Toyo's (depends on the installer), have been able to stretch the nicest, and still provide adequate performance (proved by the JDM land, japan!).

hope this helps.

what kind of 18x9.5 wheel are you talking about????

agreed 275/35/19 is the right size and diameter for a 19X9.5 rear wheels on a G.
