Any experience with Falken tires? Size???
I'm looking at getting a set of Falken GR Beta FK451's to replace my barely used stock "Horrenza" ER33's. I'm not married to the Falkens, but they seem to be a quality, reasonably priced ultra high performance tire. Any feedback or experience with these? I'm not finding many reviews out there in cyberland.
Separately, I'm thinking about going with 245/45/18 on my stock sport rims (18"x7.5"), since there's almost no selection of 235/45/18's (the OEM size). I know some people go with 245/40/18's, but Tire Rack and other sites don't recommend them on 7.5" wide rims. Any comments or experience on this?

i have the same setup as dave but i'm on gram lights. before i had potenza re92a on stock 17's and the only thing i can tell you is that you will feel the road a little bit more and it is a little bit louder but i like them. they are good and i heard that they were the next best thing compared to the toyo t1r.

the falkens are alright.. i had them on my car for 25K.. the fronts still had some tread, but when i finally got rid of the rears, they were beyond bald.. i think somewhere below 20K they were bald already..
these tires are definitely worth it for the price.. but i find that their performance and road noise aren't up to par.. then again, they are one of the cheapest tires, and you pay for what you get..

They are good tires. I will have them on my G soon as well. I had them on my Lex IS300, Ziex 512 all-seasons high perf. It has better traction on snow and rain compared to the stock Potenza 050 and since it's SOFTER rubber... NOT Noisy at all... compared to stock again.
So yup... I do recommend them since it worked out well for me.

Do some research on the Falken Azenis ST-115s z-rated ... I have 245/35/19F and 275/30/19R on now for the last 200miles. They are quiet tires .. hardly hear any road noise.. the wear rating is 360 so they should last long. The sidewall is reinforced and looks nice. It has yet to rain enough here in San Diego to test out it's traction on wet roads.

I just installed the Falken St-115s on my sedan. I had toyo T1-s before these.
275/30/19 Rear and 245/35/19 Front.
They are quiet, but they are definately not as sticky as the toyos. The 275 in the back is also not as wide as the 275 toyo. I guess you get what you pay for, these were cheaper.
