Tein Suspension Choices
Re: Tein Suspension Choices
Thanks for the figures Gsedan35.
Prior to you're info, I had no reference as to how soft/hard the *new* Type Flex would be and wow it could be one real harsh ride on the stiffest setting. I compiled a chart of how each setup compare to the Sedan + Sport (as a reference). Check attachment.
Notice, I factored in the adjustablility of each system according to the web site. In the case of the JIC, I guestimated 550 lbs./in. from the 10kg/mm figure they listed. Also, they did not reveal the spring rate adj. range. Yes, and what were they thinking w. the -22% rear bias for the sedan setup?!?! That is going to be one understeering pig.
Kind of interesting looking at the Type Flex figures. So it looks like the 'front' will be the limiting factor making this setup 57% stiffer than Sedan Sport settings and a whopping 119% stiffer if one desires. Yikes!
Btw ... did not the Coupe and the 350Z also come with different spring rates like the sedan? In any case, I had no idea how hard the Sedan 'Sports' suspension is (or how soft the Coupe suspension is). As I remembered, my buddy's Coupe rode harder than my Sedan w. sport.
At the end, I'm still leaning towards the Type Flex, but definitely with softer custom springs. Say down to 0%-62% over Sedan Sports.
