Experience with Morel Speakers
I'm looking at upgrading my system and currently looking at speakers. I have an 06' G35 coupe and plan to add a 10" sub in the back and do a cleansweep or something like that with the stock head unit. I would consider myself an audiophile (I run a paradigm (monitor series for now) system at home with a Def. Tech supercube sub for reference). I have heard some Morel speakers recently and found even the lower to midend speakers quite good. Wondering if anyone has any opinions/experience on these speakers as compared to JL C5s or any other suggestions.

I'd love to hear yours, unfortunately I'm all the way on the other side of the country in CT. I may be going to CA for work (I work for a Fuel Cell company and CA likes them a lot), but not anytime in the near distant future. I'm not completely opposed to more expensive components, but I would really need to hear them to determine if could justify the price. Is there a hifi brand you would consider a really good value for the money. I found that most people say this about Paradigm in the home hifi world (over say B&W) which is why I went with the setup I have now. Is there anything in this category for car audio?
Again, I apologize for being a noob to the car audio scene, all my experience is in home audio, but any advice or help is really appreciated. I know all the same principles should apply, but I don't really know the brands very well.

Carlos! What's up man?! I still have your kickpod I need to get back to you, haven't been to any of the DIYMA meets in a while.
To the OP: I'd recommend to check out the Audison Bit 1 if you want to get into tuning. I have heard there have been some issues with it, but those may have been worked out already. The DIYMA forum is the perfect place to go for more info.

Thank-you guys for some great ideas to start with. Now I need to find somewhere I can hear these speakers to judge for myself what is most pleasing to my ears, since at the end of the day that's what matters the most. Do you feel listening to speakers in a shop allows for good comparisons as to which speakers I will like more installed in my car? Obviously the acoustics will differ substantially. Also, what is you feeling about mixing brands between front/rear/sub? I'm assuming some of you guys compete. I'm not really going that direction, just an audiophile that wants my system to sound good. One more question, what is ICE?
