dont have the shift lock tool, substitute?

The shift lock tool is mysteriously missing from my trunk so Im unable to move my shifter out of park

Is there a substitute tool or device that could be used in place?

I have no idea where the shick lock tool went
On my old Honda the shift lock release was the key (much better idea IMO)

I think maybe I know what you're talking about (maybe)... are you trying to shift the car out of P when it isn't on? If so (like your Honda, or any car with an auto) all you have to do is turn the key to "On" I think or maybe its just before "On"... but as far as I know, there is no shift lock tool.

From the manual:

Shift lock release

If the battery charge is low or discharged, the selector lever may not be moved from the P (Park) position even with the brake pedal depressed.

To move the selector lever, apply the parking brake, depress the brake pedal, and push the shift lock release button. The selector lever can be moved to N (Neutral). This allows the vehicle to be moved if the battery is discharged. If the lever cannot be moved out of P (Park), have your INFINITI dealer check the automatic transmission system as soon as possible.

The shift lock tool is normally in the trunk under the jack. Since yours is missing, a small screwdriver ought to work. There's a little cover over the button that needs to be pried off (you can see it off in the pic between P and R) before you can push the button.
