Greetings. I'm considering a 2005 or 2006 salvage G35 with read end damage. If you have any experience with this type of project please share

Thanks, Russ

Pretty sure it's gonna be tough as it's a uni body car, and coming from someone who had a G35 get totalled from rear end, I don't think I'd want to get into such a project without a lot of time/money/tools and a large workspace. Whatever you do be sure to post pics though

There are so many factors at play. I have seen very little damage yet the insurance company totals it. Can you post a pic of the car itself or have you not found what you are looking for yet?

Thanks for the info guys. This feedback will definitely help with my research, homework and physical vehicle inspection. If/when I find the vehicle I will update the forum with progress. Russ

why not find a cheap G35 , all the time and money involved in making a wrecked car look and run right will exceed the cost of finding one already good to go

I'm looking at the salvage approach because of the price. A lot of items are bolt on/replace. I haven't seen many G35's that weren't salvage that just needed some work, and that was my first hunt. Is there a good source for G35 that need repairs? Thank, Russ

G35 sedan w/ too much money in mods
OP see if there are any car auctions around you. You might have to become a member at some but often great deals can be found there. Do some research on them and see if you like what you find.
