Smile New G35X, What is this aftermarket switch??

Hi all, i just purchased a 2008 infiniti g35x. love the car and have no complaints. however there is this little switch on my dash that i cant figure out the function of.

its on the left hand side below the steering wheel next to the trunk release and the VDC button. i believe on some models its where a AFS might be but i don't think this model has that on it. this G35 just has the premium package.

does anybody have any ideas on what it might be? ive tried flipping it in multiple scenarios (while parked, car off, while driving, at night, during day )
it doesn't make any noise or clicking anywhere, no lights come in the front of the car, seems to do nothing, and since i purchased it used from a dealership they had no idea what is did either. they hadn't even noticed it. im guessing a security system. but how do I check?

any ideas would be appreciated, id rather not have to take apart the dash to find out where the wires run to

<br/>The switch in question (right-most switch)

It's aftermarket, something the previous owner installed. None of us would know what it is.

A Guess would be an aftermarket alarm toggle for valet mode, but putting it somewhere so conspicuous is asinine.

A second guess is a separate fog light switch, the previous owner could have wanted to control the OEM fogs separately and did some fancy wiring to make it happen.

It might disable the touch screen lockout via the speed sensor wire?

My G35x doesn't have the navigation with it, however i have never had it not allow me to use the screen, so if their was/is a lockout on this model it is definitely disabled. thanks for the idea

Ha. Maybe that is it? I am in Canada but after I start moving I can only do minimal things with the Nav/Phone systems.
If I am trying to dial a number on the screen and I move even very slowly in traffic it just grays everything out till I stop again. Same with many of the Nav system. Also the AUX screen won't display anything. Even some of the general settings menus go gray. If you have full functionality even when moving that might be what the switch does. Or maybe the firmware is different up here.

It could definitely be that, i have noticed some of the more in depth settings do get grayed out. aside from that all my controls still work, and it has never not let me do something while the car is moving (at least that i have noticed)

Most likely a switch to disable the yaw sensor or to disable awd.

Try doing some donuts in a parking lot and see if there's any difference.

One way to tell is to be in Drive Sport Mode, stop the car, turn off VDC, first gear, and with one foot hard on the brake and other hard on the gas, see if it starts to do a burnout, or try to drift it around a bit and see if it lets it slide without interference. If the switch turns off both yaw and awd, then the car should do a stationary burnout until you let off otherwise, the car won't allow brake and gas at the same time. If it just disables the yaw sensor then you should be able to throw the car around with any inference from the VDC. If it only disables the awd, then you should be able to feel the difference in take off from a dead stop and from the things mentioned above.

Yeah ^^^ what these guys said. It probably cuts out the brake lights so you can do burnouts properly. Unusual to find a Sedan with it, the Z and G coupe guys call it a "burnout switch"
