iPod in Car, which is the better choice?

After a few searches, it looks like the below two links are the best two solutions to integrate an ipod into the G.

http://www.grubbsperformance.com/Mer..._Code=Specials

http://www.crutchfield.com/S-JUYCDGh...A+SPEC+581#Tab

It seems like the one at Grubbs is a better device if you have the Satellite button, which I do. Plus its less stuff you have to stash behind your dash. Anyone have any other thoughts on these two?

Thanks for the help!

USA SPEC ALL THE WAY BABY! u can use your steering wheel controlls, device is stashed behind the dash, you can still use your ipod like you normally do AND you can use the steering wheel controls, it charges it too. I love it. I think if you wanna use ur steering wheel controls with the PAC u gotta buy something else. I have a 2003 with the sat button and it works perfectly. To access it i just go to my DISC button and go to CD 6 and woaalla!!

If you don't use your satellite radio, USA Spec is the way to go. As stated above, you can use steering wheel controls (as well as have fully functional controls on the ipod) and it charges while plugged in, all in one unit.

If you want to have both satellite radio and ipod integration then I think you have to do some work arounds. Run a search and you will find many posts about the two units discussing the pros and cons.

Thanks for the info, guys. I found that link posted above eariler. I just hadn't found any threads comparing the two...

I don't use my SAT button at all, so theres an empty input right there... Its funny that theres really only a $10 difference in price too.

Get a double din!! I just installed the Clarion MAX675VD, it controls the stowed away ipod via a virtual ipod on the touch screen. And it actually reads the ipod library, with funtional playlist and searchs.
