Yeah, it's a BITCH to get that thing off. With one hand on each side of the trim, put your 4 fingers flat on the top of the trim, then place your thumbs on the underside of the top of the trim (near the actual display). Squeeze that sucker as hard as you can as you pull it towards you.

BUMP

So I have been trying to solve this issue for 3 weeks. I bought the autoillumination type B led bulb, I tried to buy the Bulb 495 from frys (it was sold out) and I bought from that other site that people linked to with the 4mm size.

NONE of the bulbs fit in properly!

I read about some honda accord bulb being the same, I might as well buy from them since these online sites have not solved this clock light problem, what is the bulb called in honda cars?

The 4mm from superbright didnt work? Those are suppose to be direct fit. Did they not fit in the socket? or they did and didn't turn on?

Bought the 4mm led's and installed them. Work perfect and light up the clock better than the OEMs did.

I bought these from superbrightleds.com, 4mm in cool white. I like subtle lighting at night, so I didn't opt for these high-power SMD LEDs they also offer. One of the images on their website is actually a white-faced Infiniti clock lit by the high-power LEDs, so if you like the brightness shown there, that's an option as well. They're direct replacement. I'm very pleased with the results, and the hot-spot in the 2 corners is less noticeable to the naked eye than my pictures show. I bought my G35 with burnt-out clock lights, so I didn't get used to it being lit up amber. I think the white is a nice offset to the rest; it makes the clock very readable at a glance, but doesn't outshine any other lighting.

Two. I bought three in case one didn't work or fell behind the dash. Turned out to be good, as one did fall behind the dash. They're cheap enough that it's worth it to just buy an extra.
