Link for Sedan Install Instructions

the plug should be behind the rear seats. from the trunk you should be able to pull the felt lining stuff covering the back of the rear seats up and access the plug

Alright.. I've finally gotten through all 27 pages of this thread and one thing still isn't quite sinking in.

"With/WO SAT" also equals "With/WO SAT Pre-Wiring", correct?

As I don't have SAT installed ('04 G35 Sedan) but is probably pre-wired, this is how I should think of it when ordering.

A few other questions:

There are two install PDF's in the thread and looks like for the '04 G35 SAT Pre-Wiring it can be in either place in the trunk (i.e. next to the spare tire or behind the back seats and the trunk interior). Or is it always behind the back seats for the '04?

On page 23 PatZX300 mentions:
VR002 is the Nissan IPOD kit and VR003 is the Infiniti IPOD kit
I would assume both are the identical box, but with the issue with the up/down track from the steering wheel controls being an issue on the '04 G35, I'm wondering if there is a difference and if the VR003 solves that problem?

Afraid if not, then I'm torn between this option and the USA Spec or Neo Pro Link products.

I have a 2003.5 G35 sedan (In Canada) and I recently bought the IPOD integration from everythingg35.com. Made sure that the VIN falls within the specs of pre-wired. The install instructions seem easy but when I took apart my trunk I couldn't find the pre-wired sat wire. I then took apart the Head unit to make sure all the plugs were there and it is. Does anyone know where else the sat wire can be hidden?

Any help would be great

Thanks

Tony

The sat prewire is usually at the lower right corner of the trunk (toward the front) where the back seat meets the floor.

Thats where I looked and its not there. I even looked between the seat and the trunk and found nothing also. So basically if its not there then I am out of luck?

Do you know if the wire runs from the driver or passenger side of the car?

Thanks

Tony

for sedans the wire should be behind the rear bench in the trunk behind some liner. for the coupe it should be next to the spare tire somewhere. if you don't have a wire, does your vin say that your car should be in the range of cars that was pre wired?

yes my car falls in the range of pre-wired cars. I tried to follow the wires in the trunk and it seems that there are none that are hidden. 1 goes to the amp and the other to the sub. I took apart all the lining and still nothing.

I took apart the head unit also and all the plugs are there (including the Sat one). Was going to follow them but it doesn't look that easy.

Is there a possibility that it is in the front of the car? Say behind the glove compartment?

i dunno? if you look at one of my previous posts, there is a link to instructions for a sedan install, and the picture that shows were the wire is was exactly where it was for me. maybe someone moved or jacked the wire?

There was an earlier set of instructions by Glycerine that showed the pre-wire in the spare tire well.

Why I was confused on if it depends on the year of the sedan.

That PDF contains pictures of a coupe. The sedan's connector is in a different location. The PDF does show that the sat connector is white.

When I installed the sat cable in my non-prewired sedan, there was no empty connector on the back of he factory HU. I had to unplug the connector that was there to plug in the sat cable.

Great. Thanks for the help. I think I will probably have to do the same. Unplug the wire behind the HU and plug in a new wire.

Thanks again
