You can buy them from your local Nissan dealership using the part numbers listed on page 5 of this thread. My dealership had 6 non-sat units in stock, but they are slightly more expensive than everythingg35.com.

Thanks for the info.

One more question to people who own this: when plugged in, can you select the songs also on the iPod?

Dang it! I read all 17 pages of this thread and can't find the answer but it may just be a dumb question:

- I want to leave the ipod in the trunk
- I want the ipod on shuffle in perpetuity
- I don't even care if it shows text
- I just want to have access to thousands of songs on shuffle

Finally, my questions:

Does the ipod turn on and off with the car?
Will it stay in shuffle mode?

I just don't want to go into the trunk every day and turn the ipod on and off...

Don't know. I don't use it. There is the option of choosing shuffle from the stock radio controls. At worst, you'd have to select that every time you remove the iPod. There's an easy around that with smart playlists and you don't have to rely on the HU controls however.

Sounds like a weiner to me... If it turns on and off with the car, I want one. I wont be removing the ipod unless I add songs to it... I just want a DB of songs to choose from, CD players suck...

Thanks

So can you still operate IPOD with ipod buttons when this thing is plugged in or not?

^Try reading this thread, it's in here several times ... once the ipod is plugged into the Nissan factory iPod connector you lose all direct control over the iPod. It will display "Ok to disconnect" with a checkmark on the screen (as seen in post #192 in this thread).

If you want to continue to control the iPod directly, I would recommend going with the USA Spec PA11-NIS. I got mine for $119 shipped on eBay...

It will be great, if you could make it to work with the HD radio too.

Just finished installing my Nissan interface (I got it from everythingg35). Works great. Like orangenblue, my iPod will be staying in the trunk with some velcro to hold it to some of the carpeting. It's an old click wheel version but it still works fine.

Hello. I'm new to this forum. I just finished installing my Nissan iPod adapter. I ran the cable into the center console (followed directions from g35parts). The sound is great and everything seems to work except:

- I cannot change tracks using my steering wheel! I saw someone post this question earlier in this forum, but I found no answer. Anyone know how to fix this?

If you hold the seek button for three seconds it should skip songs (up/down)...

Joe - when I hold down the seek button on the steering wheel in either direction, all it does is change the disc indicator used by the CD changer (1-6). Nothing happens to the music. Is the 2004 system different? Even when I use my CD changer normally, holding the seek button on the steering wheel changes discs, not fast forward/rewind.
