Factory iPod Integration Successful...
i have the rca inputs in my 07 journey, but i want to know if the steering wheel controls can be utilized for ipod control discussed in this thread and here http://www.infinitifx.org/phpBB2/vie...0459bac17b60b9
i've had the ipod kit installed in my 04 g35x for several months now and lately the interface is all messed up. It plays music from the ipod and the other sources still work normally (cd changer, radio), but when the ipod is on, the display basically freezes on whatever last button you pushed. For example, if I plug in the ipod, it'll play the first song, and it will not change the display to show the second song, it will be stuck on the first song. I cannot access the menu to change playlists, artists, settings, etc, it won't let me accept any selections, and if I change the volume while playing the ipod, the word "Volume" and whatever volume number i indicated stays on the display until I manually change the display using one of the buttons. Anyone know why this happens? This is the case with all 3 of my ipods so I know its not the actual ipod. What should i do?
OK, before I go purchase this I want to make sure I have everything strait.
I have a 2004 5AT G35 Sedan ready for satellite radio.
Is this all I need:

and

Is that it? I have looked through the thread I just would like to confirm this.

just like mikey42 says....when you hold the steering wheel switch for 3 secs to skip to the next song, it displays the menu items. i think the 04's are all having this problem. the only way to skip forward to the next song or go back to a song is by using the radio console buttons.

If I hold the s/w button up or down for 3 seconds, it displays the menu (Playlist, etc) If I just tap it, it just rotates between the 6 presets (which doesn't have any affect on the audio.

jtesensky..do all 04's have this problem or is my stereo defective?
iPod with non-OEM Sirius receiver hookup
I read this entire thread but I still need to clarify a few things. I have an 04 g35 coupe with SAT button on HU but the car didn't come with the actual OEM satellite receiver in the trunk, so I'm assuming the car is pre-wired. I already have a small non-OEM Sirius satellite receiver which has an RCA output jack and I have a video iPod. My dilemma is that I have two units, the iPod and non-OEM satellite receiver with RCA output. I need something like the Nissan iPod kit where I can connect the iPod and also connect my satellite radio via RCA. So basically two outputs. Is there such a unit? I found something like PAC AAI-NIS2 Aux Input kit....is this what I need or can I somehow still use the Nissan kit. Can somebody help me out? Thanx.
