I'm curious about this also. I would love to locate everything in the trunk.

From the look of it, the AAI-NIS2 could plug into the SAT passthrough connector on the iPod adapter box instead of the back of the HU. Just gotta source power from somewhere in the trunk....

hey shane, i already integrated my ipod, but my trunk looks way different than yours, it doesnt have that silver metal that you have there, i dunno why

Even if it wasn't the right pin configuration like all that would be required is to snip off the 10 pin male mini-DIN connector and solder on another with the appropriate pinout.

Are the pinouts for the DIN-iPod cable or the 999U7-VR002 available anywhere to confirm this?

 

yeah that metal part thats sticking up. and no i dont have the bose, maybe thats why, when i opened up my trunk and took off the mats, i was looking at your DIY then looked at my trunk and i was like WTF? i had to figure it out on my own. LOL

 

yeah thats prob what it is, that'd be my first guess, kinda new to everything on these cars so dont quote me on that, but its prob cause the bose, but everything else should be the same, with or with out is as long as the connection is there
