Use either heat skrink tape or tubing. If really concerned then skip the mirror and just bring another cable up hiding it around the windshield.

Also when it comes to the connector using the probe type methods of either of the commercial companies you could do the reverse. That is just get some good short needles, solder wires to them and push them in the reverse direction inside of the wire insulation.

The invisicord is only going to work with the cars that have the Homelink mirrors. Mike's mount only works on the G35 and 350z (they may also work on the G37 and 370z)
One point don't overtighten the Mike's Mount to the radar detector piece, it's easy to do and it will strip the plastic piece the bolts go into.

My Murano has the Homelink mirror. I think the mirror and mounting setup for all Nissans with the Homelink is the same. So, I would assume that Mike's mount would work.

For those who may be interested, the mount and the invisicord DOES work on the Murano. So, I would assume it'll probably work on most (if not all) current Nissans.

OP, i had a question, so i have the inisicord in the mail and i just looked at the cable of the rear view mirror. i have 3 wires goin in; grey, black and brown.

The brown wire is in pin 6, and the grey wire is in pin 10. of the connector.

I know the ground will go to ground, but what about the 12 v? do you know?

Thumbs up

i just got mine done, so instead of making a new thread, i am gonna just add here:

So i got the invisicord (http://www.invisicord.com) for my 07 g35x sedan. I got the multiconnector pack for future detectors. It was 20 bucks including S&H. Here are the pics. So easy a caveman can do it! ;-P

Here is the pic of what i got in the mail. For the tips, YELLOW IS 12V, BLACK IS GROUND.

Here is the rear view mirror cable. There are 3 wires going into the connector plug. Grey, Black and Brown. The Brown is 12V, Black is Ground, and the Grey is unused in this installation. Here is what it looks like:

Here is how it is connected.
Stick the Yellow invisicord in the slot where the Brown wire goes.
Stick the Black invisicord in the slot where the Black wire goes. You can see it below. Compare it with the previous pic above:

Be careful when you stick the pins in, hold around the pins by your thumb and index finger and just slowly lodge it in. I twisted it around the rear view cable once.

For safety purposes, install this with your car turned off. Turn it on and Voila!

Thats the best place i could find for my detector, i wish i could use a mounting holder that goes around the rear view mirror piece like i have seen in some of the other installations. Oh well! Have fun! I love the clean look now. Highly recommend it for all detector users! ;-D

p.s. i know i haveta calibrate my detector..
