a/c wont turn off and radio not working.

just like the title says. It happened to my last g35 and it happened again to this one. I have a 04 g35 coupe and i was wondering.. If I get a Double DIN Kit and a new aftermarket headunit. Will My A/C and Navi start working? I know the Double DIN Kit comes with an A/C Controller but I dont know if this will fix my problem. Can someone please help?

I'm in the same boat as you. This started happening to me yesterday. I was stuck on auto AC, until i unplugged the battery. Now I have no air or radio.

If the problem is in the head unit, will the problem go away if the HU is unplugged?

The double DIN parts you need are two different ones - the trim piece and the AC controller, both of which are year dependent. 03-04 and 05-07.

I'm not familiar enough with the factory navi to know if it id interconnected with the radio, but my inclination is to think that it is separate, so if you are having navi problems, there may be something else wrong with that.

When both the radio and the AC go out, it's 99% a radio circuit board problem because the radio and AC controller board is all one piece.

If you get the DD trim piece and AC controller, your air should work again. The DD AC controller plugs into the OEM harness.

Replace the circuit board for the radio/AC controller.

you eithier have to pay the cash your dealership is asking you or like me get the double din kit with the aftermarket a/c controller, and by the way the double din kit is the only permanent solution to this outragous problem infiniti is sticking to there customers. i love the car and the looks and all but this is definetly my last infiniti, or maybe japanese car.

Not always the case I had to get a new head unit, try the 4sale section for used OEM Unit you can get the coupes or sedans all the same year is whats important.

That board is the reason you needed a new HU.

i know u can get a new oem hu but it would cost the same as buying the dd dash kit most of the time and the problem might come back later... i just talked to a guy who got his radio and circut board replaced and now it doesnt work again after 2 weeks! the radio is sometimes what fries the circut board. and sometimes the circutboard shorts itself... wtf is infiniti problem? it feels like this was all a setup.

my ac/radio circuit board seemed to fry due to a bad battery. I noticed my battery was getting weak and hardly starting the car. Shortly after that is when my ac and radio started acting strange. Then it finally blew. The center dash lights came back on after I replaced the battery, but no reversing the circuit board issues.

I know the center lights did not come back on just because it was reset. I tried the 30 second disconnect a few times before replacing the battery. Anyone else notice that their car battery was low when the circuit board fried?
