I have the same issue with the AC and stereo not working properly. The dealer says the problem is with a part called the finisher. The part number is 28041AM873. Dealer price is $873 (Ripoff as usual). I found the part at Infinit Parts Center 800-437-7092 for $471.86. This is the part that has been referred to in previous messages as the AC/Audio Controller. You can also look at www.Infinitipartscenter.net and search by the part number.

Thumbs down OMG...The same issue has happened to me

I recently purchased my 03' g35 from a private owner. The problem did not occur until the battery died. Once my bf replaced the battery the A/C was on full blast and the radio and display did not work. Since I'm new to this, can someone please explain the Double-Din (DD) to me. I'm considering going to best-buy and having them install a new radio system, will this fix the problem. Does anyone have any ideas in the meantime, its' freezing where I am and of course the A/C isn't helping....I need heat and tunes!!!

Any assistance is greatly appreciated.

Naturally

i had the same issue with the ac on full blast when i bought my car used from a private seller. i bought the metra kit since i didnt have enough $$$ to buy the jdm kit. i bought the harness and antenna adapter from amazon and did the install myself. it did fix the radio issue and the ac on full blast problem also. keep in mind that when you get an aftermarket radio installed your steering wheel controls wont work unless you have a special adapter for it.

I posted a link titled "Shout out to Radiomedics", this can and should solve your problem like it did mine, so long as you are willing to pull the headunit yourself. There is a detailed video available on how to do it, making it relatively straightforward if you are somewhat handy.

I had the same problem with my 03. Luckily it was under warranty so they first replace the board and after they replace the cd changer.

I know what you guys are going through. It sucks not having your radio or climate controls to work. I've done a little research and this is what i came up with. The problem is my car radio doesn't work and the AC comes on automatically with the last climate setting for months. Infinity dealership will do a full repairable exchange for the whole unit (middle console, radio+climate control+navigation) for $450 for your broken one. SMART. and there is no recall for this matter. SUKS. I thought the cheapest route was to buy a face plate (circuit board behind radio/climate control), but it didn't work. It cost me $125 plus shipping. There was a short inside the radio that cause it to go bad. One way to know that is, if your steering wheel controls for the radio does not work then there is a short. If it does work then possibly the face plate. Mine doesn't work so $125 plus shipping wasted! I thought to myself why spend $450plus tax for another possible bad OEM stereo OR spend a little more and feel better about it. Im getting a DD Eclipse AVN726e installed for $1100. SWIPE! lol Ill let you know how it goes. Wish me luck

I pulled out the fried circuit board and put in the JDM ac controller. Fit right in and put it back together until the new model pioneers come out on March 1st. AC control is back online and functional. I'm missing the buttons so it's ugly for a month but the radio actually still works, only with your steering wheel controls though. You're going to need:
JDM AC controller
JDM Trim piece with double din slot
PAC steering wheel control interface.
metra 70-7551 harness for bose and 70-7550 without
if you have a bose system, A head unit with atleast 3, 4 volt pre amp outputs
Installation supplies
Research from this website and infinitihelp.com video on proper way to remove and reinstall head unit assembly.
Or you can always find a used circuit board finisher and simply replace it.
The stealership may want 1200, i saw someone posting an ad selling his yesterday, maybe you can find a deal.
Forgot the diversity antenna adapter.
