I am sorry they didn't help you with your rotor issue, but I don't think it is an apples to apples comparison to the defect being discussed in this thread. There is nothing I could have done to create this defect with the radio and A/C controls going out. If I had broken a button or something through use, I would not expect Infiniti to cover the repair. But since it is a design flaw, I think they should bear some, if not all the responsibility to a poorly designed center console and radio.
you said its not an apples to apples comparison to the defect being discussed.I disagree, the reason my car was in the shop to start with was because of the radio not the brakes but that was their lame *** excuse for not fixing my audio finisher problem ;(

Tx but this is ONLY for certain sedans despite my coupe having the EXACT same problem. Infiniti refuses to own-up otherwise.

recall for finisher

Has anyone been able to get Nissan/Infiniti to include G35 coupes in the recall for the audio finisher, to pay for it? It is not due to msiuse, worn-out or a MVA. It is a manufacturer's defect yet they will not take responsibility for it.

Today I called an Infiniti dealer to which I have never been to as they are an hour drive from me.
The guy I spoke to knew exactly what the problem was as soon as I began describing it. He said he didn't want me to drive all the way down just to have it diagnosed as he knew I needed a new radio.
He said they would install a refurb radio with a 1 year warranty and labor for $530.

Pfff, $530 for a refurb.

Buy aftermarket and forget about the POS oem headunits.

I hope that solves ur problem but i'm told it will not. Both the radio and the board need to be replace because they "interact with each other and can effect/ruin each other if either one is defective." Strange electronic problem as they tell me it will "get worse." Most electrical problems I've experienced either work or not. Anyway I'm VERY disappointed with Infiniti for not taking responsibility for something that is clearly a manufacturer's defect. If I break it, wear it out, or damage it, fine. I have no problem paying for it but this is/should be on them.

Was that price installed? If so, where did you get it done?

Interesting as I have family in that area and am up that way often.

My audio finisher was replaced in the service bulliten years ago. The units are just defective no matter what they replace.
I am actually surprised this is such a widespread issue with so many model years and no lawyer has jumped on the opportunity.

I wonder if each owner who has this issue keeps reporting it to Infiniti NA if they will actually start replacing them when they crap out.

It's not a safety problem, and they're always fixed under warranty, so there's really nothing to sue over.

Believe me, I feel the violation ($775) but whats the choice? I'm not going with something other than stock b/c the electronics will end-up doing God knows what to/with other systems. Interesting the sedan version of this problem is cheaper to resolve and they are paying for that, but the coupe? The exact same issue and description but too expensive even for them. So we are stuck with it. Thanks Nissen. Way to back ur products. I will continue to gripe to Nissen, Infiniti, regional managers, Better Business Bureau, etc. anyone with a title. This IS a manufacturing problem.

^^ WTF - same price sedan or coupe, "god" and all of us know that replacing with aftermarket works just fine.
