do you think you can get the titanium painted console, but the willow (brown) color.
The outer edge of the vents are black and that doesnt match the rest of my interior (see pic below)

I'll look at it but I think it may be just easier to paint the ends.
Thats all nissan does.

Yeah i thought about Paint too, but i dont have the exact paint code. Afr0puff tried to colormatch it at Home Depot but it turned out a few shades lighter than expected.
Does anybody have an exact paint-code match??

I'm sure the answer to this ? is obvious, but doesn't this mod completely void your electrical system warrenty? Especially since you have to Mod the JDM A/C board?

I was forced to remove my entire double din setup, including the A/C controller. I am having a problem with the car hesitating under heavy acceleration and they swear its an electrical issue. They refused to work on the car until I removed all my aftermarket electronics. "You don't want us to remove it and find out it solved the problem. Otherwise you'll have warranty issues." Whatever... I removed everything and am still having issues. At least they aren't giving me the voiding warranty BS anymore.

You may be using factory parts, but they haven't been installed by factory conditions, plus your modifiying factory parts. they could say anything, but I would just beware that if anything electrical goes worng, you should def. go back to stock before going to the dealer.

Here's a question, isn't it possible to buy that little green switch separate so that you don't have to remove the one from the stock setup? I'm sure if I had a close up on all sides I could work with my electrical vendors to find the part for all of us.

That little green switch, is just a switch. Find some broken electronics and I'm sure you'll find it on like an old CD-ROM/VCR or something. It's just a simple on/off. Radio Shack might even have it.

If I wanted to mold an LCD into the double DIN and needed to repaint, where would I find a paint thats a color match?

 

I'm a new G35 Coupe 6MT owner of last tuesday and new to this website too(it rocks!!). Whats a double din and what are the advantages of converting to this?

 

look at the pictures above... it lets you put any head unit you want in our cars... i put a tv screen that has navi and dvd, by Eclipse... pics are above, i think...

it costs around $400 and is ordered form Japan, takes a couple of months to receive, or you can order it from someone on this website, if they have any left over...
