When I get my coupe Im planning on just doing this:

Dont see the point in spending 400 bucks when you can just cut it to size
But I also dont need a full DIN type structure, I just need the opening to flush mount a 7" LCD

So if you have that part for the double din... you can't use it with the stock A/C controllers

For those of you that have installed the aftermarket stereo/nav system, do the radio controls on the steering wheel continue to operate?

nope unless you buy the SWI-X unit from pac-audio.com then your steering wheel controls will continue working.
