JL 500/1 and 10W6

I know all cars are different. Curious if this will hit pretty hard or if I should do 2 10W6's in the Zenclosure box?

reason I ask is I had a Rockford P10002 Amp powering 2 Eclipse 10" subs in my truck and it didn't hit terribly hard...mostly because they fired into the cushion of the back seat.

I got a 10w6 and a 500/1 in a 4080 fiberglass enclosure. It sounds amazing. It doesn't hit as hard as my 2 10's in my neon did but it is a single sub so yeah, good bet to go with this.

I started with one and it was plenty.......at first. I eventually wanted more so I got another and a passenger side 4080 box. I can't give a review of that setup yet because it's not installed yet.

Zenclosure boxes are good for the money but the airspace will not support the JL Audio W6's.

I have a single 10" w6 and the 500/1 and I am satisfied with it. At first, I wasnt satisfied, but after setting the amp up correctly with the digital multimeter and the sound test cd, it was a huge difference. Like said above, the zenclosures box wont work well with two w6's, but if you go with a single w6, the single enclosure from them will work perfectly.

you mean if you put 2 w6s in that box? The .8 airspace should be perfect for 0ne..

yeah i am thinking the single 10" zenclosure box with the space to mount the amp. Bought the 500/1 amp today. Might have found a deal on a W6.

Also just noticed my factory headunit is dead (cd error fo). so I am gonna be on the look out for a double din

It depends on if you need your back seat passthough too. The Zenclosures box will block the passthrough while the 4080 boxes won't.

Same setup as you, hits loud and hard, still leaves me with the pass through, and plenty of trunk space.

See my .sig for pictures.
