Love the removable face on that model, but I hate that they dropped the voice commands that the X920 had.

JVC's aren't that bad really, ugly interface, but it's a fast interface, and they got google maps data for its database, which is much better in my experience than navteq's datbase that Pioneer has been using.

Only thing that keeps me with my pioneer after playing with JVC's top offering is the voice recognition for navigation and iPod control that the Z110, Z120 and Z130 have.

Yea, the interface is def ugly i don't really like it. I might get that Pioneer or wait for Pioneer to make full full-detachable face, living in NYC that's a must to have.

I've been using Alpine HU's for many years. This is my 3rd Alpine headunit. All of them have been solid, great sounding, and feature rich. So partially its loyalty and the rest is:

I was looking for high voltage pre-outs, hd radio, a nice resolution on the 7" screen, and great quality sound, ipod/usb integration, good navigation. Alpine has always offered great quality sound.

I ended up paying $950 for the HU shipped.
