Post pics of your double din setup
Thank you Thank you! I have only 500 RMS currently going to each sub, they can more but it's already crazy loud, I play it on low with a bass of -2 lol...and yea it drains a lot of power I actually ordered a yellow top optima battery the other day, my OEM was to weak...it should be waiting at home for me as we speak
So I see the past posts have a pioneer 4400 is this better then Kenwood? Like i hear people like the usb not on the front or something? Where does it go then?? I know Kenwoods they have it on the front I dont mind it but maybe it might be better then the back. ALso the 418 is older model of 419 and I was wondering whats the main difference? I know the problem with the 418 was bluetooth
yep, 1000wrms sub still hits for a 10. amps rated at 1500wrms so there's no overheating, the thing stays super cool the whole time. idk still tryna figure it out w/o buying a new battery/alt. big 3 helped but didnt fix the problem...

The main benefit of having USB in the back is having nothing on the front. Then you have a larger screen.
ALright so if I do get the 4400 is it better then the 419? Does anyone know? What happens if the usb gets disconnected from the back? Doesn't that mean I have to take the whole unit and plug it back in?
Here's the comparison from Crutchfield. If you're looking at the 418 vs. the 4400 though you might as well also look at the 719 since its' the same price as the 4400. More comparable unit as well with the 7" screen.
Yes, if it gets disconnected in the back you have to remove the head unit and plug it back in. Plug something into the USB drive on your computer. Now unplug it. See how hard that was? That's how hard it is for your USB to come disconnected from your head unit, too.

Note the USB extender that comes with the radio (kinda hidden, on the left):

if you think about it... even w/o the extender how the heck would your USB cable become disconnected?! plug it in the rear of your PC and then plug your iPod in... now bring your iPod to the front of your PC where you sit... now pull on the iPod, I know dang well your USB aint commin unplugged, your iPod is!! thats crazy that that would even be a thought in your head imo. not bashin ya but theres no way its coming out... if anything you would be pulling the connector "into" the HU...
The JDM kit fits with your factory NAV perfectly, I had no issues when screwing it to the JDM kit. The Metra you will have to shave down some parts of the trim kit plus the chances of dinging up the trim piece and it looking bad after it's done is a possibility. The Metra kit i've seen and the color match is definatley off. The JDM is right on the money and by far the easiest install when doing your factory NAV and DD HU. Inbox me if you have any other questions.
